Didn't you refer to the local 9th grader getting the Iowa State offer as simply a publicity stunt? At least he performed on the field and warranted the offer at the college camp!

No one on that Illini staff will still be there in 2025.

That's great, point is, at the end of the day, if Lovie wants speed, why offer a 10 year old that could develop in any number of directions? You've got a kid in Plainfield that ran one of the top 10 100's in the country this year and plays a pretty good game of football as well and not even a sniff. I just don't get it, I hear we're going to recruit Illinois hard, but instead we're offering 10 year olds from California. Help me make sense of it?

You ever know with this kids. They are exposed to so much so early athletically now days. These kids are really mature and good. I just heard this week from a friend up north that LA has Pat Eiler's freshman QB son, Patrick Eilers, on the varsity.

I'm sorry but I fail to see how this is a good thing - for the kid. We are talking 14-15 year old kids who, in most cases, biggest decision is they want fries with that burger or if they are gonna kiss on the first date.

You can show me data and stats pointing to he contrary. I don't care!

There is a certain level of morality involved here that should allow kids to be kids. Sleezy college recruiters coming and knocking on the doors of these young kids is just shameful.

Found another prospect that I hope to bribe to Naper North. He will need to put on about 100 lbs. and grow a foot, but I think he could start for us next year.

5 or 6 years ago several 8th graders attended a U of I satellite camp at Lincoln-Way East. I thought it was unusual because up until that time I had only seen juniors or seniors attend these camps. Apparently, this is the new normal. Likely most of the younger kids are wasting their parent's money, but who is to say.
