He’s not protecting his win loss record....these are teams we will have beaten even though we are not very good it seems.Coach is protecting his team...and Win/Loss record.
We were one of the first teams last year to withdraw from the tournament along with Kansas, so I don’t think it’s about a win/loss record either.Coach K is giving up some easy wins. He's doing it because he cares about his players. That's all there is to it. Anyone who disagrees...well you are entitled to your opinion, even if it's wrong.
If anything, this will lead to more losses not less. This team needs games to get better and now they won't have those cupcakes that they usually have in the beginning to work things out.Coach is protecting his team...and Win/Loss record.
Your sympathy is absolutely amazing. They may not be at risk of death but they could get very sick and suffer certain long term consequences. And then there is the issue of who they. might give it to.It’s comedy at this point, it really is. “Protect the players who have a less than .00001% of dying”.
But can easily pass it to someone else that doesn't have that good of a chance..It’s comedy at this point, it really is. “Protect the players who have a less than .00001% of dying”.
A possible NCAA tourney would be a bubble scenario....right?While I agree given that three of them have already cancelled due to covid. It seems coaches are firing back at coach K and wondering if his comments would have been made had he not just lost Two non conference games.
I get it. Coaches will take shots too but don’t you still have to travel in conference games? Didn’t three ACC schools just cancel games because they tested positive? Wasn’t it K that said the NCAA could not afford to miss another tourney?
He is looking out for the kids which is great, however the timing of this is just weird
Right so why are they sending them home to their families? That literally goes against the science. This whole thing doesn’t make sense other than i get cancelling the one Remaining non conference game since 3 of the 4 have cancelled on us and won’t mean much at this point. But can easily pass it to someone else that doesn't have that good of a chance..

That’s how it is set up, all in Indianapolis and surrounding areas.A possible NCAA tourney would be a bubble scenario....right?
Yes and I guess K saw he already played the three out of conference games and could get ten out of conference play to qualify for the tourney. At least 13 games needed to qualify with three being out of conferenceA possible NCAA tourney would be a bubble scenario....right?
Who knows if he would have even made the comments if he wasn't asked by a reporter his thoughts on Jeff Capel saying it doesn't feel right. He responded with I don't think it feels right to anyone. And even commented on how they would spin it which they
It is sometimes. hard to remember that these guys are just kids. I have to imagine that trying to go to college and play basketball during a pandemic is taking its toll on them in ways we can't appreciate. I wonder if that is part of what is going on with Wendell. I get the health concerns but some of these kids might really need to get home and given how well Duke has done at keeping the virus at bay, it might be worth it.Right so why are they sending them home to their families? No. Nothing was as heartbreaking as last MarchThis is starting to feel like last season.

I believe you are mixing apples and oranges.Sympathy? What’s wrong, does clinical truth hurt? And stop with the “long term consequences”. I bet you never thought twice about influenza or pneumonia long term effects.
Moore is from Charlotte it’s two hours from Durham I think he can drive home if he wanted to.It is sometimes. hard to remember that these guys are just kids. I have a pregnant wife to worry about. There’s too many idiots out there who don’t care if they make others sick. Honestly, I could care less about somone’s business shutting down. Keeping my family safe is my businessYea my bad, the overall risk of dying is so high (sarcasm).
Look, it sucks to lose one person but we should be protecting the vulnerable, not locking everything down and destroying lives and businesses all because we went backwards.
Arguing this is pointless though - the season will get cut short because there’s fear to be stoked and money to be made on the vaccine. Keep people scared so they get vaccinated and units are sold.
If they weren't allowed to leave campus, what difference would it make how close Moore's parents are? The kids could have been told many times over what was in store for them. But experiencing it is a whole different thing.Moore is from Charlotte it’s two hours from Durham I think he can drive home if he wanted to.
Now had you said Steward who is from Chi town I would have agreed.
These kids were aware of covid before traveling to Durham and one would have to think they were aware of protocols in place just saying .
I totally agree..And yes, Oats is just looking for headlines. He’ll be unemployed in 2 yearsLimit the risk you can. These are just basketball games. That’s coach Oats sure is a moron though
Yes, but that’s not what i was responding to in my post.It is sometimes. hard to remember that these guys are just kids. I guess I misunderstood.Yes, but that’s not what i was responding to in my post.
I think most disagree with your coach.
so you are telling us others have different opinions. Didn’t know that
So why send them home? But can easily pass it to someone else that doesn't have that good of a chance..
Coach is protecting his team...and Win/Loss record.
By cancelling far and away the most winable games left on the schedule? I don't know if I get your logic.
