I know there are rumors and speculation, but seriously, why don't we have someone named yet? Is it true nobody wants the job or is there something else a foot? This is sort of critical for our program.

It's been known since middle of last week that it was going to be early this week before something was announced. If something isn't announced by Tuesday then I'll worry

With all the hirings going on around the country, and as the quality of desirable candidates continue to diminish, the length of this search is seriously eroding my confidence in SB's selection process.
Not that I initially had high expectations.

It has?

I question that only because other teams have made moves on coordinators and head coachesbin much less time. Why are we restricted to waiting?

I really hope on Tuesday we're not told that we have to wait till Friday.

Just send briles a check and a uhaul truck.

Sounds like targets are Briles, Penn St oline coach Trautwein and possibly Jimmy Smith for rb coach who's at TCU and is from Darlington

It hasn't been "known" or else there wouldn't be so many threads about it unless you're an insider and have knowledge unavailable to the rest of us peons.

I would guess with the overhaul on the offensive staff, Beamer is waiting to have all the pieces in place to make on announcement.

Sounds.....well, I cant say reasonable. In the end, if he signs, it amounts to nothing.

But with other teams hiring staffs and HC's in 24 hours, it makes you wonder why we need to sit around and wait.

We're probably just not his only offer.

The insiders on here literally said since middle of last week that the timeline is early this week bud. Has nothing to do with me

Well, first of all, you liked an article that cant be viewed. So why complain to people who cant view an article that they haven't read that article?

Secondly, the article title says "Sunday night update". That does not constitute "since the middle of last week".
Brother, I'm not going back to articles from last week to show you that. I don't have that type of time but I remember seeing GC staff saying the hopes on like Thursday was for it be wrapped early next week.

Yes. An article that when I click on the link, tells me I need to pay to join the insiders board in order to read it.

And yes, the article is title "Sunday night".
I'll do you one better this is from last Thursday....

I can't help you don't have VIP that's not my issue

"The process does seem to be getting closer to the finish line. Additional conversations are taking place in the next few days, and there’s a thought that something could be wrapped up early next week."

I never saw an insider state on the free board that the search was continuing into early this week either. Guess I'm an idiot too.
Again. Why would they be giving you free info?

Im not sure you get the concept of the pay site.

You are literally posting links to articles that people aren't allowed to access.

For someone reason, I'd really like to get you to understand this. There are two boards on this site. The free board and the pay board.

On the free board, you cant see what's posted on the pay side. Understand?

So coming to the free board and whining that the posters here haven't seen an article that they dont have access to see is a little silly, right?

If we are indeed pursuing Briles, or any desirable OC, I would assume they (the candidate) are taking the process slow to make sure we are going to put the other staff pieces in place to increase their odds of success.

At least you've figured out that those of us on the free side dont have access to whatever youre linking. Its a start.

Now we just need to make the leap to why that matters as to who read this article.

They asked when was it said that it was going to be early this week? Nothing was said about it being free? How are you not grasping this? You're coming at me because I posted an answer to someone who ask the question? And it's my fault because it's not free? This is the dumbest interaction I've ever had with what I assume is adult

I thought you said it was stated on the free board by an inside member.

Whatever. Keep on rambling. I can get the same info for free from other sites/platforms.

That sounds completely reasonable. But do all OC hires do that? Have some moved faster than that?

Wouldn't the new OC want to be on board and be a voice in picking those new pieces?

Let's hope in a day or two we can all look back and smile that Briles was just taking his time.
