Yeah Kirk mentioned it's about consistency, I don't think he will be Taylor by any means, but it will be ok. Much more worried about Buhr than the punters.

More concerned about the PK. Not downplaying the importance of punting but close games are a hallmark under Ferentz. We all remember the game changing and game winning FGs against ranked teams and rivals. Hope we have a clutch kicker because will likely need one this season.

Yep, any coach will take a 40+ yard avg and really good hang time. Kick from your own 30 and it goes 42 yards with a fair catch then your opponent is on their 28.

The pros like the hang time because there are just some many good returners there that a big return is always possible

Correct, a 40 yard avg punter with mostly fair catches is find, missing a lot of FGs is not fine

I went to to Iowa v Rutgers game where Taylor and Korsak put on a magical punting display. I was sitting in the the third row of the NE sideline near the endzone where most of the 1st half punts were downed inside the 5. It was incredible
