Sounds like something that would happen to us...
Our defense is celebrating getting a stop on 3rd down at the opponent's 48 with 26 seconds left in the game and a 2 point lead. They bring out their field goal kicker (we're all laughing at how silly that is), who proceeds to split the uprights and clinch the win as time expires when we couldn't reach the 30.
Will they try it in the regular season? If failed, the opposition would get the ball back with great field position.
I'd think only if it was a "time running out" play to go to overtime or win.
