Good for you Timmy as I am glad you are looking out for others and their perfect grammar etc.
Or do you keep that officiating only for ' outsiders ' ?
Interesting as you called me out there . I will try my best to please your perfection requirements . I happened to have rhetoric as one of my prolific classes at a much more recognized higher level institution as I for sure guarantee than what you have in your portfolio .

So, to keep this real and on topic, Iowa happens to have some of these recruits in a situation the same as you do and in some cases it's first come, first served . I never bashed Neb at all and just stated what was being seen and heard in regards to these athletes .

You are so defensive . I lived in Omaha for over 10 years and you guys are like no other . Compassion , yes, but total hatred for EVERY other team. It used to be Oklahoma, then Colorado and the Florida schools, KSU, Missouri, on and on.
I always asked my pals in Omaha as to who was their 2nd favorite school and they could not answer that . Hatred for all .

Wait, you step on me but find it interesting I call a spade (idiot) a spade (idiot)? RollingLaugh

English shouldn't be this difficult, the "higher level institution" failed you.

Did this mental midget really complain about somebody calling him out? That really is a thing that happened?

Jan 26 Sharp and Benning radio show interviewing Fant " As of right now I will be signing a letter of intent with the University of Iowa" He is also supended from the BB team right now. A lot of moving parts stay tuned.

Nebraska moved on and I think Iowa is contemplating doing the same as it's becoming apparent Fant is a headcase.

Supposedly false according to Fants family. But I will not believe anything till we get him in the radio studio and get this all figured out! Let's make that happen!!!

Reading between the lines, it looks like DB has stepped in to smooth it over.

That's an interesting theory. You think DB's pushing NU to him? There was just an OWH story about Fant today. This particular passage is mind blowing...

"Even though Fant is one of Iowa’s highest-rated recruits, the Hawkeyes told Fant they might look at other tight ends should he make the visit to Minnesota.

“I understand. That’s recruiting,” Fant said. “If that’s what they want to do, then that’s what they’ll do, but if that happens, that’ll definitely show me a lot about the recruiting between me and them, but also the trust and the commitment.”

So he can look around after verballing and no one should read into it in the least, but if Iowa does, that says something about "trust and the commitment?"

I think Fant is his own worst enemy and needs to grow up a little. The situation where he finds himself is because of his own actions. Hope the beat for him. Will be happy if he comes to Nebraska. But I think he may have overplayed his hand.

I agree 100% about that passage. That's the one part of the article that stuck out to me as well. I think Noah is a nice, smart kid, but he might have too many people in his ear about this whole recruiting process.

I think DB is just kind of the calming and reassuring voice for him regarding Nebraska and recruiting. Not necessarily steering him there.

Watch him pick Minnesota on signing day because he can't chose between Iowa and Nebraska. He just took an OV to Minneapolis. Would be nuts. Not sure the last time I remember a Nebraska kids recruitment this bizarre.

Who was the kid that picked Stanford over us a year or two back? Didn't like the attention (or lack thereof) from Nebraska, got offered Stanford, took Stanford. Pretty cut and dry.

Harrison Phillip, big loss for us. Cotton and Pelini slowed played the heck of him, once Stanford offered BC and BP reacted with an offer, too late.

I used to work with a family member f Phillips. Pelini botched his recruitment terribly. What I was told, 3rd hand, was Pelini said several statements like, 'We are just here to due our diligence.'

Never acted like he was good enough or that Phillips was ever a priority. I was told that Phillips would have loved to come to Nebraska if it weren't for his recruitment by the previous staff.

Again, this is third hand information.

This can't be that hard. Make up your mind.
IF he picks NU this will all be forgotten and he will be glad he did. He's a kid that has to make a potentially life changing decision. Its not unusual for high school seniors to take their college choice down to the last minute as in move in to one school only to leave a few days later and end up at NU. I know somebody that did that and they were a tremendous student.

The kid may end up at Minny by default Iowa will be out of schollys and NU didn't kiss his posterior enough. At least this BS will be over in a few days.

I've got news for you. EVERY coach kisses recruit butts....plenty. It's not BS to him. This is a major decision for him and he's having trouble making it. It's understandable. I don't understand why people feel like these kids owe them a decision before they are required or ready to make it. He's got multiple coaches messing with him telling him all sorts of things. Pretty confusing but I wish I had been in his shoes with so many good options for a free education.

I don't think anyone is diminishing the importance on this decision for him. But the way he's going about it is fair game to be scrutinized.

If he isn't sure where he wants to go, why commit? Isn't that the actual definition of a commitment??

Then he has the gall to say something along the lines of "if Iowa does that, it will tell me a lot about how they recruit". What???

He's telling them that he's open to other programs and Iowa then says ok, if you're open to other programs we are open to other tight ends. This 18 year old kid needs to be told that he is not the one calling the shots.

Ferentz and another Io_a coach didn't visit him at school yesterday because "Io_a will be out of schollys".

I heard the same kind of things as well about Pelini and Phillips. He was one player that deserved an offer right away during the spring of his junior year. We could use him and Drew Ott this year a lot.

I always asked my pals in Omaha as to who was their 2nd favorite school and they could not answer that . Hatred for all .

I would hire someone to write your term papers at your much more higher level institution you are attending. I would hate to see your grade suffer in one of your prolific classes.

I come here for info on recruits that both schools are going for and you know, same division, same conference, same border. Not sure why Husker Tim has always had so much hate in him for Iowa. Seems petty to name call rational posters if Iowa fans are so beneath you. There must be something to it.

Hate for Io_a? I have zero hate for the Io_a program, as I've had not only friends play there a long time ago, I have a former Io_a player working for me plus two others that broker on our behalf. Not to mention a very good friend of mines son that very recently played in Io_a City.

Now, the dipshit Ha_kturd fans that come over here, different story. And if you can't see why some of us are sick of their schtick, that's on you, not me or anyone else here on HOL.

Sound to me like this kid is not 100% solid with Iowa? He is visiting Minnesota this weekend, and is talking with Iowa coaches today. I think they want a yes or no and if they don't get one they may move on? What does everyone think?
he is shakey

I agree with Tim there, Io_a may get some decent TEs but there no TE U...Miami owns them in that position.
