I don't think he ever "decommitted". Atleast not publicly. He went on a visit to Minnesota and it caused a stir.

For some reason I was thinking Nebraska was really late in offering him and it hurt their chances.

Mike Riley gets hired, Riley likes Matt Snyder as TE of the future. Banker moves Akinmoladum to DE. Riley still likes Snyder as TE of the future and , wants Fant on D. And we are swimming in TE's, but they are upperclassmen. We like Jack Stoll at TE and he commits early summer, Riley still wants Fant on D.

Fant maybe decommits from Iowa, as what I interpreted as a clear signal to NU as "I'm here for the taking, BUT only at TE".

Snyder ends up being injury plagued and can't beat out our walk-ons. Noah Fant ends up at Iowa.
