I'm again on the nominating committee for the weekly Chicago Bears IHSA Football Coach of the Week award....which is a state wide award presented to one coach weekly.

Being the CG homer I am, I want to give props to coach Brad Seaburg. A season after winning 6A, he's almost starting from scratch with the offense and they roll over CL South 34-0. It's early and there's a lot to be seen with this squad but he finds a way to reload and keep winning. Hope I didn't just jinx them.

Coach Zinanni Bishop Mac, kicked off his 45th season of coaching there with a 49-21 win over Bloom. The school had a ceremony renaming the field after him before the game

Lou Sponsel, Fremd. Not only did they upset Lake Zurich, I thought they thrashed them as well. He had his team ready for the game.

Dragan Teonic South Elgin High School. In only his second year at the helm he has put together a complete team. His guys are well coached and work hard and will compete for the Upstate 8 title this year.
