What a joke, you gotta beat some people c'mon committee.
Unless you are North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Thanks to the NCAA the biggest cheaters of all time skated. Due to their decision, NCAA Enforcement is no longer possible and thanks to the two who are joined at the hip along with ESPN for sweeping it all under the rug and bringing us NIL which will bring college athletics to an end. NCCH could have had a a losing record overall and in the ACC and they would have put them in the tournament.

LOL, UNC is better than some here are giving them credit for. Some of their losses to better teams were close. Their defense against Duke in the second half was lights out. I was impressed. Offensively, they suck.

EDIT: their record easily could have been 27-8.
Nope they are legit terrible, you have to beat someone. They were good enough to stay in a couple games and come back on Duke without their premier player and best defender on the perimeter.

They talked about their quad 2 wins but that’s because basically the ACC was terrible and that was over half the league! Any team that got a quad 1 ranking BEAT them! I’d like to know what the combined quad 1 & 2 record was for WVU, IU, or Boise was vs UNC.

Why can't they have a designated Committee chair with a term of, like 4 years, who isn't affiliated with any D-1 school?

They didn’t deserve to be in and neither did Arkansas.

But it’s about the money and that’s all that will ever matter from now on. UNC will bring a lot more dollar signs than anyone else left out
If Arkansas didn’t deserve to be in then neither did Oklahoma, Vandy, Georgia or especially Texas. They all had similar resumes overall.

I’m definitely an Arkansas hater but they were a tourney team after the first 5 conference games. They played well when the rotation was short.

Who cares if they are in??! They are just going to be embarrassed anyway which is worse than quietly slinking off into the offseason.

IU should have gotten in over UNC.

Agree but apparently wvu was the big loser on the gift. Something like 180/180 models had wvu in and it was the first time in history a consensus team didn't get in.

Beyond all that, you just cant let in such a poor resume. You just cant. If that was any team that didn't have their AD chairing the committee, they never get in and it wouldn't be close.

UNC admittedly got hot late in the season and had a decent showing against Duke. Having said that, the committee has repeatedly said that they no longer use "the last 10 games of the season" as a factor as they did in the past. Now it is "body of work." People like Lunardi, who had them out, were applying the standard that is CURRENTLY used to decide who is in and who isn't.

Yeah, they were impressive against a Duke team that has 2 major players sitting the bench, including the probable POTY.
