OG and ND will be interesting indeed. ND had the same problem with discipline last year. Play smart and you win more close games like last night. Ledford wouldn't have even scored last year in two games if it weren't for the stupid stuff.

North’s defense will stifle Oak Grove.

If the two teams were even close to even, talent wise... the advantage goes to Oak Grove. Right now, there is a large experience gap. Oak Grove has a freshman tailback that looked very solid. Give it a couple of years and this will be a real game to watch.

North did not have black and orange, they had orange and gray. I Really do not like the uniforms with all that gray. The defense gave up too many third-down plays. The QB for Davie was very elusive and the Reynolds kid is one heck of a player.

I agree about the ND uniforms, I don't like the new uniforms, they have never had gray in their school colors or any jerseys as long as I can remember. We always had black and orange or way back in the 80s we had an all orange and white jersey that was pretty sweet. As for Davie, I saw the highlights last night and they had on black and orange. Since when has Davie ever had black in their color scheme. It looked like two ND teams playing each other out there..lol.

North’s uniforms look like a cut rate arena league football team. There are times that the announcer can’t see the player numbers to call who made the play.

The interlocking ND has been a feature on the helmet pretty consistantly since about 1992 I think. That Marvin Martian looking thing on one side of the helmet looks dumb.

I would LOVE to know who thought the gray was a good idea. Gray and orange? what a joke.

Go back to solid black, slight touches of orange and white numbers.

My thoughts so far... The stadium stinks like a cow pasture, and our fans are the biggest wine and cheesers EVER... Oh, both teams look alike with black and orange uniforms, like an intrasquad scrimmage lol.

That smell was horrible on the visitors side

The offense was terrible. Better in the second half, but obscene for the whole game. Qb and rb DO need work. 2A will help that...

Defense was... Good. As far as making tackles and being at the ball. They were HORRIBLE with penalties. We must have had over 100 yards in unsportsmanlike, facemask and late hit penalties.

LOTS of work to be done...

This is discipline . The Refs were flag happy(5 sets of offsetting penalties and this doesn't include unsportsmanlike conduct) like an umps strike zone you have to adapt to the way the game is called, Davie did a much better job of of adapting than we did. One of Davie's scoring drives we had three and out and roughed the passer. Had the game virtually wrapped but deep in their territory roughed the passer when thy had holding penalty on 4th down to give them another play. Uncalled for. quite frankly. When you play teams with similar talent this stuff beats you. We get by with that against weak conference opponents but not in games like this and in the playoffs. We moved the ball better when we played fast instead of going to the huddle. BlueStar you were right we have a little further to go than I thought.
