Oak Grove is behind us on to East. East lost to South Rowan last week. Any predictions for this week?

North probably won’t beat them as bad this year.... first. North’s offense just isn’t as prolific. Second, East was particularly bad last year in this game, going down 35-0 after the first quarter!
North still wins big. Maybe even with a running clock. East is still reeling from coaching changes and a late hiring of Coach Hanner and late start.

I understand from my daughter that we have something else to celebrate. The new Miss America is a North grad!!
She finished second in the Miss Thomasville pageant a couple of years ago. You ought to see the winner!

Yes. She attended Friedberg Elementary, which at the time fed only into North Davidson. Friedberg now feeds into both Oak Grove and NorthDavidson.
Read online that JV game was a running clock after a while with final of 46-0 
Hopefully Hanner can do it all over again. I'd like the CCC to become a stronger conference top to bottom.
Don't blame the kids at East, they are doing their best. The JV team was basically stripped of any of their players that had varsity potential to try to help the varsity and build for the future. The varsity has like 7 or 8 sophmores who either start or are gonna see decent playing time. Also, the starting RB at Oak Grove (also a soph) would have been the starter at East but transferred right before practice started. The varsity could easily be 2-1 right now, they were inside the 15 yard line with less than 2 minutes left in two of their losses. With a little better play calling and more creativity on offense, they would've won those games. I'm sure ND will win big tonight, just hope its a good, clean game with no injuries.
The play calling for East is absolutely terrible. They run the same 3 formations, with one back beside the QB in a spread formation on most plays. Sometimes they have an H-back lined up to one side or the other. Hand off right, hand off left, up the middle maybe almost the whole game. You are not going to move the ball on ND's defense running the ball, they are too good up front. You need some misdirection, or play action passes, screens, etc. Somebody needs to tell the coach to get more creative on offense or put more formations in to give the defense more looks and to create opportunity for mismatches and blown coverage.
East actually played well on defense a good portion of the 1st half but poor play calling and bad pass defense coaching cost East. The only real offense that ND had in the first half was long pass plays from bad pass coverage or blown coverage.
