Well boys, here it is. The rivalry built on hate a week after the one built on respect. Time to wreak havoc on the hive... Lets swat some jackets!

Lexington skill positions will be the key to watch out for, just like last week. They have absolutely no chance in the trenches.

Last year Lexington scored more points against us than anyone not named East Duplin. Granted we had 4 or 5 starters out with injuries, but I'm sure the defense hasn't forgotten that and will be out for blood... Er, bug guts.

I love beating this team. Heck, I love destroying them in blowout fashion. The new generation of kids may not understand, but this rivalry was serious for years, especially when Lexington was a state power back in the day.

Let's get it. Go Black Knights!

48-7 ND, running clock, will give Lexington some points, I think the starters get some rest early, thus clearing the path for Lexington to get on the board.....

But I want the subs to shut em out too! Lol I know that's asking a lot. But shoot, after a week of practice when I was a junior I was fired to the hilt when my turn came.

Sounds like that PR firm Lexington city government hired needs to target a different audience. You guys don’t seem to be buying. LOL.
Lexington has always been a heated rivalry. I have a different take though. I think the Jackets are getting better but wont as quickly as T-Ville under current staff. I have much respect for the Lexington AD. I honestly feel really sorry for the kids as there home attendance is horrendous. It cant give the players much feeling of support at all.

I share your respect for the AD. Seems like many folks in Lexington have given up on the school system. Thus the elected school board decision.
Thomasville also has a lot of apathy toward the schools, but Coach Robertson is working hard to bring back some of the excitement, and it shows. We’re all better off when Thomasville and Lexington are strong.

Unfortunately, merger and redistricting is the only solution. I hate it, but it’s true.

“Good afternoon, I’m mayor Clark. I’m the proud mayor of Lexington, home to the best BBQ and schools in the Carolinas. Lexington is such a wonderful place but I choose to send my kids to a private school 20+ minutes from where I live.” LoL

In all seriousness, Lexington is a complete ********,dumpsterfire, leaky trash bag, fill in the blank.

It really goes back many years to old money and bad leadership. No progressive thinking when furniture went bye bye. Most of you guys aren't as old as OC and I. I can remember a time when Lexington had more to offer than Salisbury. Look at them today!!

Randy Hemann is the guy who guided Salisbury’s downtown revitalization. He’s now the assistant city manager in High Point and in charge of the downtown rebirth, including the baseball stadium, hotel, conference center, museum, etc.. Dynamic guy.
Lexington is doing some good things downtown and in economic development. But they have a twenty cent tax on downtown properties and have raised taxes by nine cents in six years. That rubs some people wrong. Their elected officials were tired of hearing how bad their schools were. So they put the responsibility back on the citizens with an elected school board. Basically washed their hands of them. That will prove to be a disaster eventually.
If you really want to tick them off, remind them that Thomasville is forty percent larger than they are:).

Maybe. Lexington’s population has been declining for years, and with a new charter school in town, could happen.
I think the new charter school has a set limit of students and over half of those kids came from county schools actually!!

You may be right. I think there are three from Thomasville, but most of the kids can’t get there. Aren’t they adding a grade per year?

In a county where 78 percent of students attend county schools, if half of the charter school’s kids are from Lexington, it hits them much much harder.

As of now, the school’s charter allows them to be a k-8 school. They started this year with k-3

Kinda makes you wonder where a kid who attends a charter school K-8 will go to high school. My guess is it won’t be Lexington High School.

And in true charter school fashion, they stacked the deck to keep the “less desirables” (however you want to read that) from having easy access.

I read it loud and clear. How did they stack the deck?

Limiting transportation. Not providing the same level of EC service, lunches are more expensive... the list goes on and on. Charter schools can’t pick and choose... but they find ways to pick and choose...

That is definitely the charter school MO. It’s the problem I have with most of them. Be interesting to see their yearbook pictures.

BKN, you better be glad you’re not here. It is 13-0 ND at the half and the Knights offense has been pathetic. The usual penalties have already happened but at least coach is getting into their tales on the sidelines
