As good as the NWC loss looks, how bad does the East Rowan loss look. Have to be careful comparing common opponents and previous games. It's hard to tell how good North is with such a weak conference, but they do seem to be clicking now.

East rowan was 1st game of season for the all star squad....hadnt jelled yet. Also saw on football friday night there was an inadvertent whistle that screwed them over that game. They had no business losing that game though.

Have said all season it was North Stanly’s championship to lose. I give North Stanly the edge in talent but give North Rowan the edge in coaching. Close game with the Comets winning by a touchdown.

Yvc is very weak north stanly may finish 4th next season. South davidson, chatham central, north moore, west mont, all are horrendous.

The YVC has always been kind of top heavy with some good teams at the top and some very weak teams in the bottom but what 1A conference isn’t like that? North Rowan and North Stanly could both make deep runs in the playoffs and South Stanly could surprise a lot of teams in the smaller division.

I hope N. Stanly goes 1aa east. I think they could do very well out east. I could see them giving Edenton some trouble. Nobodys beating Tarboro.

I could see N. Rowan doing very well out west. I think they match up very well with Mt. Airy. Both NS & NR could make the 1AA eastern and Western finals

Griddie is one of the most respected and informed contributors, journalists and source for the CTH, YVC football areas. NS won tonight with talent from every county that surrounds them. They have 4-5 D1 players. They have had TWO playoff wins in 50+ years. All of a sudden they are the power house in football???? Really???? Come on.... Until the NCHSAA gets their stuff together this will be the norm. How many schools are knocking on the door of the staff in New London? Call it like I see it. North Stanly has recruited well. They deserve everything coming to them.
