Local sports reporter said on twitter Dh Conley was OK with Monday as a makeup. Should know later if both coaches agree
You mean postponed. Canceled means it's not going to be made up. Hearing Monday is a good possibility. It was lightning nonstop last night
I got to give credit to the Conley's for taking the extra effort. ECity is a long haul for most teams. If they go back to ECity Monday you got to tip your hat to them for the great effort. Too bad Rocky Mount couldn't travel 15 miles once again to finish what had the makings of a great game against Tarboro. I know Rocky Mount had a game scheduled for next Thursday but why not at least try to play tonight? I get Monday may be too taxing on the health of the team when you have a game Thursday. But why not tonight?
I couldn't agree more, not sure why they couldn't play Saturday. Also, the people in charge last night in Elizabeth City made every effort they could to get the game in. The lightning wouldn't let up. They told us that they didn't want Dh Conley's players and fans riding 2 hrs for nothing. DH Conley looked really good warming up, but so did the Eagles
I still have issue with the RM/Tarboro. RM actually plays the Conley's next Thursday so not only is Conley playing Monday but have a long trip. I normally don't pull for the Conley's but I hope they beat the brakes off RM next week.
******** why we have to travel so we only going to have 2 or 3 home games this year what I guess they going to take those games too so I guess we have to kick everyone's *** at there house
It is some bs. I'm guessing Conley would have forfeited if they had to travel back to ECity. NE wasnt gonna let them get off like that. Maybe with some of the VA non- confrence games some ties can be made where NE can exclusively use them as their non conference games. Those teams are closer and would be easier to get more home games.
This is why I love Northeastern Football. Coach Moore will play anyone,anywhere,classification doesn't matter. He will take our team to anyone's field and doesn't ask for them to make a return trip to Elizabeth City. He's got nerves of steel and doesn't back down from a challenge. Dh Conley looked good in warmup and our coach knows they have a very talented team. He's not letting this opportunity to play a good team slip away, I promise you that. We may not win but damn if we won't play
Gotta love this comment! It's so true Dagoob! If you want to be great you have to be willing to take on great challenges! Coach Moore is a man's man. His players never seem to question his judgement when they go into battle and they are a great team because of it! Those kids play their guts out for him.
Wish yall would play Tarboro and show Rocky Mount what a great team does instead of the weak excuses Rocky Mount coaches gave for not finishing the game.
