Of course. I don't know why people picked RM to win. Northeastern is the real deal right about now. Can't see them not bringing it home this year.
They ran a late int back from desperation passes to up the score to 24. But it shouldn't have come to that. We turned it over twice at their 5. Should have been 21-18 SWE. But that Tarboro D is a beast. We could not run. We should hand and definitely could have beaten them. I think we will contend. Not many teams around here like those boys.
Well if I'm not mistaken they say everyone northeastern plays is a cupcake guess we done had some big cupcakes so far this year got 2 more to go edenton and then Havelock......one game at a time edenton next week should be a great game
Well we don't have freshwater he could take to the house every time he touch the ball and with two or three other running backs to they can take it to the house not this year but we also didn't play teams this good so early every team we play before conference start going to have a winning season this year
And another goes down, chalk it up for a very dangerous Northeastern Eagles team. Four straight road victories against much bigger opponents to start our run at the 2A state championship. This when coming tonight without our starting running back #5 for most of the game including all of the second half.
The only thing in Northeastern way is Reidsville if they stay healthy. Rams passing attack better than last years. Northeastern couldnt stop the pass last year
It's not as good as last year but our defense is better. We also have a very good quarterback who has been playing really well. Tonight he wasn't at his best, but I'll just chalk that up as he had an off night. He played really good against Indian River, Rose, and in his first game starting on the road at Conley. We played tonight without our running back most of the game, so that didn't help. One thing that has helped us tremendously is that we have and awesome kicker. Posters up here sometime ridicule me for posting stuff about him but a good kicker means a lot. If we had had one last year we would have probably won the state championship. The team this year as a whole is more well-rounded and more disciplined. We don't have that one big playmaker like we've been blessed with in the past. Something about our team is different this year. I can't pinpoint what it is but I just think that this is our year to take our program to the next level. I have no idea what's going to happen when Havelock visits us in a couple of weeks, but regardless I think we have put ourselves in a great position come playoff time
Wallace-rose Hill and Clinton will have something to say about that. The east is very strong this year so it's not a given that the Eagles will make it 2 the state championship. As a gambler I like the eagles to win the east but I would not bet the farm on it. There are just too many good teams in the South this year.
I hope Northeaster makes it. Or WRH. Would be a fun day at great game as has been last last 2 years.

The difference is your coaching. They have matured. Northeastern can and I think will beat Havelock. WRH don't look the part right now. Northeastern has continued to improve. Definately the team to beat in the East. Big loss for Shelby Lions. Reidsville no #1?
Going into our game against Reidsville last year I was not really concerned. I felt like Northeastern was the better team and would win it all. Fast forward to this year and if, that's a big if, the Eagles make it back to face Reidsville then I wouldn't be anywhere near as confident.
Well rams are best at halftime adjustments. So have to have a sizable lead going into 2nd half. 1 score usually wont be enough. But every year is different. Never know until game plays itself out. MH will have something to say about it too. They are 1 play away last 2 years to going all the way
Our coaching has been extremely good this year. It's the best that I've ever seen here in Elizabeth City. Tonight, we didn't play as well as we have in the past 3 games but we still managed to pull out a win against a good Rocky Mount team. We did this well a couple of our best players banged up. Coach Moore has done an outstanding job this year
I am going to vent about one thing that I can't stand. I hate it when our own fans criticize the decisions vocally that our coach is making. We have one of the best coaches in our state so I think he's proven that he knows what he's doing. During the game against Rose myself and Bud we're sitting just behind the coach's wife. Some of our fans were way out of line with things they were saying. I felt so bad knowing that she was hearing this all the while we are winning. The lack of respect for our coach and the job that he has done this year is just mind-boggling.
From looking at your schedule...... to think anyone would bash your coach is insane. Who would have thought you guys would be 4-0 on the road against the caliber of teams you have played. Your coach has to be top notch! Does this happen everywhere?
I couldn't agree more, he has stepped his coaching game up for sure. He has even slipped in some trick plays this yr, love it.
I didn't keep track of your game tonight. I'm slipping but somebody told me after our game that NE lost to RM 35-0. I was disappointed cause I knew you were sick!! I get on here and see them Eagles are still rolling along!! Great job Goob!!

Yeah we weren't as sharp tonight but we still managed a win against a good team. Our defense really played well, and we took a huge crowd to RM.
Havelock has a good Kicker. He consistently kicks off inside the 5 yard line to just inside the endzone about every time. He did it last week too against WRH. Really helps you when you keep the other team starting at the 25-15 yardline each time.

I agree big time with dogs here. Yall may not have the homerun guy but the coaches know how to put those kids in situations to be successful. Those players have shown that they have bought in to coach Moores philosophy. I would argue you guys are better this year because yall can win in so many different ways now against so many different style opponents. Yall don't have to rely on the homerun guy anymore. Yall have shown to be able to ground and pound, get in a passing shootout, and come from behind even when your defense isn't having their best game. Yall are a very dangerous team no matter who yall play.
