My vote for the most interesting matchup will be at 133. If Jax wrestles Farber it will mean Jax will not redshirt this year as surely he is going to wrestle against Iowa St. and Iowa thus he will have exceeded his five match limit. The injuries to Land and Voelker make this a less exciting dual.
125 Troy Spratley vs. #23 Trevor Anderson
133 Ramirez/Forrest vs. #18 Julian Farber
141 Vega vs. ?
149 Swiderski vs. #17 Caleb Rathjen
157 Robideau vs. Rahnavardi nr
165 Lockett vs. #6 Ryder Downey
174 Facundo vs. #14 Jared Simma
184 Ryder vs. #26 C J Walrath
197 Merrill vs. John Gunderson nr
285 Doucet vs. Adam Ahrendson nr

For the Gurus...Best/ most interesting matchups?
I completely misunderstood your question and thought UNI and ISU were wrestling and you were asking what their most interesting matchups would be lol.

Funnily enough though my answer actually isn’t too far off.

I think the blame is mine for a poorly worded question. Was just thinking about the matches next weekend and I guess assumed everyone else knew what i was thinking 🙃

Spratley Dec. Poulin | 3-0

Ryder Dec. Dean | 21-3
Elam dec. Merrill | 21-6

This is a very optimistic outlook and will probably end up closer. 174 and 184 are toss ups imo and I’m a bit nervous about 141 as well.

57 could be interesting as well. I would pick LR but Zerban is good and different.

Is Zerban fully healthy? I wouldn't be surprised if he and Elam skip their dual against OU Friday so they're fresh for Sunday.

WrestleStat has OK St winning 18-12. All matches by decision and Iowa state winning at 133,157,285.
Again no predictions from Obe except to say OK State will win the dual.
LETS GO POKES!!!

Wrestlestat has us dropping 33, 57, 97 and HW.

Troy always has nailbiters against stevo, so this is a low confidence pick. Jax takes it to Frost imo…style matchup nightmare. Vega has a tough one, Eche is tough! Swid is also a razor thin favorite. Zerban won’t touch Robidoo. Dee will let this be close as Euton can be stingy, but Dee is in a different class. Facundo will Wrestle smart and minimize any tricky exposures. Ryder, see 25, 41 and 49. Cody has tough one as does Konnor.

I pick it like this with confidence rating.

Troy decision - 6
Jax major - 4
Surge decision - 10
Casey decision- 9
Robi decision - 5
Dee decision - 3
Facundo decision - 6
Ryder decision - 8
Elam decision- 2
Yonger decide - 1

So, I have pokes winning 60-0

I thought Elam was out for the year? Lots of great matches. I thought Swiderski transferred because of Frost.
Nope he’s healthy and doing very well this season.

Yeah I’ve got Frost over Swiderski. Swiderski seems like he’s improving a bit but Frost is very good and has looked better this year.

ISU is ranked higher than us as a team and has 4 wrestlers ranked higher than ours. Pretty evenly matched on paper. Hope our boys show up ready to impose their will!

Wonder if his wife will take to Twitter again?
Troy wins with a solid decision with 1 takedown, a reversal and riding time. Needed a takedown for a major with over a minute but did not get it. Jax won by tech very dominating with lots of takedowns. He seems to be so aware of where he is and his opponent and turns the right way. Also he turns so aggressively he gets the points. Sergio wins by major, really pulled away in the 3rd period with takedown and back points. Both are great scramblers with their opponents on their legs and Jax and Sergio end up with the takedown.

Swiderski won by decision with a couple of takedowns but could not get the takedown in the 3rd for the major but at least he did not stall in the 3rd. Better.

Landon wins by major with a last second takedown. Had a scare with an ankle injury but he was not limping, but he did slow down and smartly played it safe until the end of the match where he got the takedown.

Lockett was beat 4 to 1 with 10 seconds left and he hit a double leg driving Downey across the mat to his back and held him there for 5 points and won 6 to 4. What a comeback but Dee needs to score more. He had 2 good takedown opportunities earlier but lost them. Downey had the only takedown until the end of the match.
