Seen this team soundly defeat DH Conley a few weeks ago. Conley gave a good Cleveland team pressure. Keep an eye on Northern Nash!
Where on FB?I’ve seen a couple posts on Facebook today insinuating some of the players got In some trouble. I don’t know if there’s any truth to it but something to keep an eye on.
I think they have a team that could go deep in the playoffs.
Don't get too excited. That's a weak district.Wow. Just saw they blew out Bunn. They must have a heck of a team this year!
I was just about to say I’ve seen them and wasn’t impressed.Don't get too excited. That's a weak district.
I saw the Northern Nash/Bunn game.....was impressed with NN passing game, balanced play calling with almost 50/50 run/pass but all but 2-3 running plays were minimal gains....NN scored on opening drive, probably 6 plays to go 70-75 yards, 2 runs for nothing, 4 perfectly executed passing plays, next drive was headed right down the field but Bunn DB in a one on one situation made a great catch on a jump ball in the end zone for INT.......it was a defensive struggle early (7-0 at end 1st qtr), but midway through 2nd qtr it was 14-0 then it was like NN flipped a switch and scored 21 points in about 3 minutes of clock time, with not only unstoppably offense and defense doing quick work, but also aided by recovering a deep sky kick after one of the scores....also, I forgot what set it up (so many big plays for NN in all three phases of the game in that stretch) but NN easily could have had another TD before halftime, as they were inside the 10 in the last few seconds of 2nd qtr but couldn't score, they had to settle for a 35-0 lead....they have two WRs with good hands, who can go long, or catch a quick pass and pick up some yards after the catch, plus a tall TE who is a big target, that will line up some in the slot, who had the catch of the night against Bunn, one handed, on a pass that at first appeared to be sailing over everybody's head, the offense is flashy but don't look past their defense, when their first string defense was in (entire first half, plus first series of 3rd qtr before the running clock started) I do not remember Bunn making many first downs (maybe one?)....there was a point in 1st qtr when Bunn defense forced a FG attempt, and the kick was blocked (appeared to bounce off of NN linemen), Bunn guy scooped it and returned it to inside the 20 (one NN guy here showed great speed to prevent score; it looked like an easy TD when ball was picked up), and from there (game still 7-0 at this point), the NN defense forced a four and out if I remember correctly, they had some good size on the line and overall they tackled well; not many missed tackles, and actually so did Bunn in this game for the most part.....the stats are not going to show all that many yards of offense for NN because they had a short field many times due to many short punts, recovering a muffed sky kick on a kickoff, and a couple of turnovers on downs, and maybe one lost fumble? (can't remember), they did have one score after the running clock went into effect on a beautifully thrown ball by their back-up QB who is just a junior, along with the two starting WRs, they're going to miss the starting QB and tall TE next year but the passing game should still have lots of big play capability in the fall of 2023I was just about to say I’ve seen them and wasn’t impressed.
