East goes ahead by two touchdowns and the coach goes for 2, plus he wasted all 3 timeouts early .

Out coached two weeks in a row .

East goes ahead by two touchdowns and the coach goes for 2, plus he wasted all 3 timeouts early .

Kids deserve better . Period .
Wow, East looses a couple games and people already throwing the coach under the bus? Pathetic

Wow East Wilkes. Was not expecting that.

I headed down to Montgomery County and it was a complete waste of time. Should of stayed in the area.

Not everyone tossin him under the bus. Ya win some and lose some..but most teams kick the extra point..unless the kicker has missed some...those xtra points..sometimes bite ya back..cool when they work..but shabby and unnecessary when they dont..lol...Coach Atkins still good in my book...Ew and us fans may have gotten big headed..losses will humble ya really quick..when you are expected to win..and ya don't.

It seems that EW's lack of a power running game to compliment the outside run successfully lends them to becoming somewhat unbalanced against decent defenses. When teams are successful at taking away the outside run it makes it super tough on EW. The best offense has looked was against Forbush earlier this year. East ran a no huddle type offense..witn a lot of 4 wide sets..and mixed in the option with it perfectly. i thought against W.Wilkes that they would try more of a hurry up style of offense to try to use their speed.. but they really didnt.

The 2pt conversion didnt lose the game. Thats true. The bad punt that set WW up with 30 yds to score didnt really help the cause. West may have tipped it. WW never went away and I felt the extra point would haunt EW. West deserved to win the game, not because they outplayed East, but because when they went down by 2 tds..they didnt fold and quit..they kept playing hard and caught a huge 80+ yd bomb..and Big Mo swung in their favor in a hurry.

Great post. East has a ton of tools in their belt. The spread has been effective all year, yet the last two weeks it has not been used. Tonight it would have wore them big boys down.

We have the best QB we have had since Luke Samples, we need to let him loose . IMO

He is an excellent QB especially when he isnt forced. When they pass the ball on 1st and 2nd downs..he seems more poised. When its 3rd down or the game is on the line...Im not sure if he is as effective under pressure. He has very good feet and he is strong and thick...and tough to bring down when he escapes the pocket...I think he is excellent with his reads..and i think he throws a pretty ball. He's just a lil better qb when the pressure isnt on him as far as throwing the ball. Im not talkin bout pressure from the defense..Im talkin about a close game and pressure filled situations.

I trust him under pressure. tonight he didn't have any timeouts . on 3rd down he hit 25 in stride. dropped pass that would have been close to a 1st down .

what I am most perplexed about is lack of variety in the offense . we know what the O is capable of. it seems like we are playing with one hand tied behind our back.

Very hard fought game and win for us last night over Forbush. Props to them they played very hard.

Forbush lost their big RB to a bad knee injury last week and pretty much had to put everything on their QB's shoulders. He delivered and gave us fits all night. They ran the Emory and Henry offense a lot and ran QB keeper out of it. We had a lot of fumbles which was un characteristic. Some was due to Bush others were simple mistakes. We didn't come out the best but we got ticked and finished it out. We caught 3 real breaks: 1. We got some big pass plays; 2. They turned the ball over at the start of the 2nd half when we kicked it too them and we got 6 the next play, and 3. Their QB got hurt pretty rough at the end. He got slammed hard on his head like in a DDT or Diamond Cutter/RKO and he was done it killed their offense. I hope he's alright I hate to see anyone get hurt like that.

Props to Coach Johnson at Forbush he coaches them very hard and gets a lot out of them. If he wasn't there they wouldn't be as competitive. One of the few good guys in coaching around here too.

Proud of my 'Hounds. We have fought hard thru the muck and mess all year to get here to being the spot we are in now. Win wise it wasn't the year we all expected but we have played hard all thru WPAC play and became a different team in a few weeks after playing West Stanly. I've seen very few teams like the one we got this year in how hard they play and how they have never given up. It's a wonderful sight and a good show of heart. That I was glad to see because the WPAC finally became awesome and competitive this year and I was glad we were part of it.

Next week's gonna drag but oh well can't help that..
