Chris Collins' decision to go to a two-big lineup with Dererk Pardon and Alex Olah pays off. Pardon scored on three straight possessions, and Northwestern has hit two threes already. 14-9 Wildcats at the first timeout

Hey OLAH>.......THAT"S PARDON CRYING FOR THE BALL.....Please pass it to him instead of dribbling very very slow and doing nothing

16-12 Northwestern at the second media timeout. Tre Demps' struggles continue, as he is 0-2 from deep, 0-2 from the line, and has already failed to score on two fast-break opportunities.

Northwestern leads 24-19 at the under-eight timeout. Diamond Stone is on the bench with two fouls, and Sanjay Lumpkin was called for a flagrant-1 for his fast-break takedown of Robert Carter

Northwestern is out-rebounding Maryland 7-to-1 on the offensive glass, has eight more shot attempts and five less turnovers than the Terrapins. Shooting has been the equalizer, however: Northwestern is shooting 42 percent from the field, and Maryland is at 56 percent

Shut off the lights, the party is over. We can only compete when Pardon is playing. Olah is non competitive and Demps is awful today again.

Get Luka off the court in the second half. We protected Pardon's 3 more fouls. Play Skelly/Pardon/Joey Van Damm. Olah is still injured or simply can not rebound or do anything. He is single handedly killing us, well along with Demps who can't hit anything including a FT.

Skelly, Demps, Olah??? Amazing BMAC can hold this together... maybe 2nd half will flip but Olah should not play on a crippled foot, Demps is in a slump. Need a Pardon for these guys. Hope they nail some 3s in half 2

BMac's astounding play splitting through two defenders then underhanding a ball to go in gets Cats within two at end of first half. Great finish.

I said before the season started that for this to be an historical season, Demps was going to have to have a special year. Unfortunately, that has not been the case at all. Too bad he's struggled so much. Married life can do that to you sometimes. ;)

Maryland ends on a 14-5 run to lead 31-29 at the break. All but six Northwestern points came from the Pardon/McIntosh/Falzon trio, although Pardon had to sit with two fouls.

I wish Collins would bring him in as the sixth man again. I think it would do him good.
