I mentioned some time ago that you're lucky you don't play at Northwestern this year, since they've tore down their stadium and will be using a temporary site while their new stadium is being built. Here is a picture of where most of their home games will be in 2024. Small. But what a view!

That actually looks like it would make for a fun afternoon or evening.

I don't believe your comment is entirely accurate. I had read that NW will use this temp structure, as well as an MLS team stadium, and possibly Wrigley Field and/or Soldier Field, for games. It all depends on whom they are playing and what the other team's travelling fanbase will be. I think for PSU, OSU, Michigan, Iowa and Wisky, they would tend to play in one of the larger stadiums. For Rutgers, this venue would probably suffice.

I think that stadium size is perfect for the amount of fans that attend their games.

2024 plan is five home games to be played in the temporary facility and two in Wrigley Field. 2025 remains to be seen.

My son is moving to Evanston in August with his girlfriend who is a Northwestern grad student. He will go to games. I hope to update with photos.

Isn't there a required stadium size in the big ten? Did they get a waiver? Or did they just threaten to sic their journalism school on complainers?

There is no minimum stadium size and NU's new stadium, at 35k, will accommodate 12k fewer than the current version. And most of the project is already paid for.
