It will only be embarrassing if those fellas do well at the next level. I could be way wrong, but I'm gonna guess that only 2-3 will find a high level of success.

Which ones? Who knows. And no way anyone could guess the correct 2-3 nor could we have take all 17 to find out.

Why? They’re all largely a bunch of 3 star dudes who 99% chance would not contribute next year, which is what we need for a roster with ~75% underclassmen. Do we not remember Rhule taking a stupid amount of Nebraska players his first 2 years? What did they contribute? Who’s the best from there? Gottula? Who everyone was shitting on all year till he got hurt?

Lateef, Pietrzak and Mozee were all 3-stars that contributed as freshman this year. I'm not arguing with you though, the numbers are the numbers no matter how much people want to throw a tantrum about the '26 class. We simply do not have room to take a bunch of guys this year just because they're local. I'm positive some of those guys will be good players, but we can't take everyone. Now, should we be getting rid of guys from the last 3 classes in order to make room? Probably, but I'm guessing quite a few will be exiting prior to the portal opening on Jan 2nd.

None of those guys developed their skills playing HS football in NE.

Anybody from Rhule’s first class that hasn’t cracked the 2-deep yet or for the bowl game should move on. You’ve had 3 seasons to show us something. We don’t need to see a fourth.

You ignore the 17 number. Only 4-5 went to pP4 . We didn’t offer Jett for obvious reasons but that reason is not coming so that’s just unfortunate. We offered the TE going to Mizzou but he was pissed we didn’t offer Jett so he had no interest. Tje lineman going to Illinois? I Just don’t Donnie develops and they knew that . As you said time will tell.

Not on 247, it has him as a 3-star.

247 is generally the one most people quote. It’s the most reliable.

Some use what ever source makes this staff look good. I think one should go with one source and be consistent.

But wouldn’t it be nice for a change if we didn’t need a dam excuse for everything.

excuse for why the line gave up so many sacks, excuse for why we lost to Minnesota, or got crushed by PSU & Iowa. Excuse for not having a great record. Excuse for why recruiting was poor (excuse for both total commits and el excuse for low average ranking by commit). Excuse for not landing kids in the state. Or why this coach unit didn’t do well.

Those that keep making excuses are just liars.

I don't mean any disrespect so forgive me if this comes off wrong... Yes, those kids do have talent, of that I'm sure so, BUT, they are 3 star players who really haven't faced real competition. Not to go all Friday Night Lights but It's very probable that they would at best be a mid tier school down here in Texas... especially in Hot Beds like DFW, the competition is Nuts and unfortunately many of those same kids wouldn't even get a sniff down here

Rhule has found out like most former NU coaches that Nebraska is pretty bare with in state talent. The difference now with scholarship limits and NIL is that you don’t have room for charity offers.
