Saw her at the Golden Sky festival last year, some good songs (she wrote Charli XCX's 'Boys' which was un-country enough to be more enjoyable). Nothing particularly bad about her set there.
When I looked her up it mentioned her baseball coach dad, and when I looked him up and his bio says he was on the '82 national championship team. But I haven't ever seen anything actually official to confirm that. Does anybody know?

I didn't watch the performance in question and have no interest in doing so, but does it seem like "being drunk" before going on a national stage seem a bit too convenient?

Girl, don't give me "it wasn't me, it was drunk me". I invented "it wasn't me, it was drunk me"!

"That was not me last night".

Well, the first step in getting help is admitting the problem to yourself. Whether you have the courage to admit it or not, that WAS you last night. You were drunk and signing like ****.

But geez, is the freakin' home run derby really worth getting drunk for?? Just avoid the MLB hospitality suite.

No doubt she is to blame 100%, but I can't believe whoever she was with (assistant, agent, family?) let her go out there and embarrass herself like that.

Am I the only person that questioned why in the hell you sing the anthem before the friggin HR derby?
Yeah, strange. Frankly, I don't really get why we sing the national anthem before any sport event except for national events like the Olympics/World Cup, etc. (this is NOT a political take in the least). I think the US and Canada may be the only countries to do this?

IIRC, it started during one of the world wars to show how patriotic we all were. It just hung around afterward. I agree it doesn’t make much sense but if anyone wanted to stop playing it, some would put the anti-American label on them.

seriously she is not a little tipsy, she a whole lotta drunk there. Had to be obvious to everyone in her immediate area before she went on stage how twisted she was. But show biz full of enablers and sycophants as managers and assistants "oh sure you can do it you will be great".......

and country western musicians have a long and distinguished history of performing drunk, sometimes amazingly and sometimes a mess like that, missing concerts due to being drunk see George "no show" Jones as example........

Original question still stands: Brad Andress on the '82 team? Internet has failed me on this.

I would say yes. Bradley Andress is listed in the alumni directory as Class of 1986. Business is listed as S&C Coordinator for the Mets. Andress isn't a totally uncommon surname so I guess there could be two guys with similar names having similar careers. Look no further than Connor McGovern and Connor McGovern.
