Think about how easily Duke would have been defended if that was the gameplan. The final 3 minutes of the MSU game is how our offense would have looked the whole year. The problem wasn't that Zion didn't get enough touches. The problem is the rest of our players didn't scare defenses enough to keep them from packing the lane. Including Barrett.

I don't think it's an either/or thing as much as it is a both/and. I think more things should have been ran specifically for Zion throughout the year. He got the overwhelming majority of his touches just due to his motor/athleticism.

I said Zion should’ve taken the last shot but if we’re going to take a 3 then why in the hell is RJ taking it. Or shooting the last 3 shots. He missed a three badly that led to the out of bounds. Cam in late game situations is a better shooter and free throw shooter than R.J. Now go change your pads

Lol. If there is a middle ground between a love fest for Cam and completely dogging him, that's where I am at. He made some clutch plays in a few games, including saving us from a second round embarrassment. But I can admit that he was a huge disappointment overall.

Not most, because this board is too small to accurately represent the fanbase, but there are some on here who have done just that.
Pisgah wanted to talk about things that are embarrassed him the other day and the response of some of the people here to Cam Reddish should top the list.
Cam was frustrating as hell offensively. But he was a big asset on defense. For that alone, he deserves more respect than he's getting here. I keep going back and forth on the issue. On one hand, I think he was a disappointment. On the other, the reason I say this is probably due to what we were expecting from him. And it's really not fair to him to have to live up to the hype that was appointed to him just so us fans won't hate on him on a message board.
I think a lot of us, me included, will need to look back and put things into perspective. We can get mad that this player or that player let us down and tell them not to let the door hit them in the *** on the way out. But it really doesn't make anything better.

Overrated, sure that may be true. But laid down on his team? If his teammates don't seem to think that (Zion clearly didn't), who are we to say different? They know the situation. We do not.
