TUESDAY - ESPN 9:00 PM … you can watch him.
A friend of mine said he thought he played like a cross between Marquis Estill and Gimel Martinez. I will be watching on Tuesday … looking forward to it.
Not a bad group to be compared to. I was hoping for a little better comparison

I don't personally think those are good comparisons. He has a higher ceiling than that.

Comparisons are very subjective, but Moreno does a lot that reminds me of Jakob Poeltl of the Toronto Raptors.

In HS Mareno averaged 21 and 14 this year. Shot 72% from the field but only 3-11 from three. Basically he was the biggest man on the court almost every night in Ky HS games.

I watched him 3 times. He is athletic but not a 3 or 4 at this point in his career but not thick enough to be a 5. To me, he is a more skilled version of Brandon Garrison (not sure about 3 pt shooting…I didn’t see him attempt one).

Trying to find the appropriate comparison for him is tough. Here is what I can add first off he moves really well for a guy his size, he isn't a plodder. High basketball IQ, watching him at the state tournament he is constantly communicating with his teammates and you could notice him when he would get switched off on a guard he was very attentive to get switched back without compromising the defense. I noticed him get an outlet pass and I believe he went behind his back and didn't lose the ball, tells me while not a ball handler he didn't panic when he go the ball out in space. Didn't see a lot of distance shooting but watching him shoot his free throws he showed great touch and appeared to shoot a very high percentage in the Sweet 16. Appears to have been coached very well and seems to be a really good kid on the floor, not any of the ME garbage that you see from other players.

The one knock could be he may need to get a little more aggressive, be more assertive but that is just looking for something.

I was really impressed with him as a player and even more so in how he handled himself on the floor.

Very skilled and big just not exactly very fast imo or overly athletic . However he seems like he has a high iq which counts for alot. He could be a 20 min player out the box or a 2 year project. Either way I believe he is or becomes an asset.

Could be a great rebounder with his iq n size as rebounding g is more about knowing where to be at right moment.

I like him an think he will be very good just maybe not out the box ......... Jasper however will be a stud even as a freshman imo..

Curious how he would have done at a Montverde, Link, or La Lumiere type of place ... really hard to know when you're the tallest (by far) on the court every night. Those stats should probably be a bit higher against regular HS competition.

Its hard to shoot a lot better than 72% from the field. Averaged 21 and 14 in a 32 minute basketball game and shooting a high percentage. If anything I question his coach as to why a man that shoots 72% isnt averaging more than 21
