Correct. He also had to play MN.
Look, Matt Nicholson played big minutes today. And he held his own. He was a big part of the victory today, just like many other guys. I’m excited for him because he’s clearly someone that’s worked extremely hard.

And who knows, maybe this gets him a few more minutes per game (which I’d be okay with). But he’s still got a long way to go. There’s a reason he doesn’t play a ton at this point in his career. Still scratching my head why everyone wants him to get more minutes. Unless there are injuries up front, which is the case now, he’s a guy that shouldn’t be getting many minutes with our roster.

Basically him getting more minutes likely means Nance and Young getting less unless someone ahead of him is down as now. For all we know they may be trying to buy him an extra year of development by not playing him this year. (Say he got last year as a COVID exception and this year as RS, he would still have 4 years eligibility) But if he has to play, then he would be down to three

I simply think he makes a competent second team C. Beats bench warmer.

No. Young starts next to Nance, and Beran goes to the bench and backs up Nance, while MN backs up Young. Simple.

Why didn't anyone ever think of that? I mean there is so much discussion here on lineups and minutes and players and what not here, but not a single person has mentioned this brilliant but obvious arrangement? Weird.

Nance is a 4, not a 5, no matter what CCC believes.
