Tonight we saw Nance and Young on the court together a lot in the 2nd half and crunch time. I always wondered why it was one or the other in earlier games. This new alignment seems to be making more matchup issues for opponents with 2 bigs

They were also on the floor together in the last 4 of the first half. I believe this was driven by the realization Young is more effective on a big like TJD than nance. And will be more of a thing against Purdue/IL than against other teams.

Which is a shame as Young is 100 times more effective than Robbie “invisible man” Beran.

I dunno we’ve been doing this a lot for the better part of the last 5-10 games. It works sometimes it doesn’t others. But ever since conference season started this is definitely not a rare occurrence.

Total of 70 minutes in the first 12 conference games for "Nance with Young."
Nance missed one of those games.
