None of the guards can break down the defense. Hidalgo can.
Hope those folks who displaced long-time attendees and who don’t show up, enjoy watching the first two rounds of the ncaa tourney on tv because this team ain’t hosting.
Meanwhile, the rest of us will keep supporting the team and showing up even after getting moved
Too much talent to be this bad. Can’t believe how they can not beat any really good teams. On the bubble big time. Better last year.
No reason for them to stop it at that moment. They could have waited one second. In the end, it doesn’t matter
I do not think we showed up to play today. I do not think our coaches looked at the Duke vs ND game. I wish they would have. Duke showed the blueprint to beat ND. Get the ball out of HH hands. Send 2 to 3 players at her if you are playing man to man and close the gaps for her penetrating, which is jump to the ball and recovery when she tries to drive towards the basket. Make the other players beat you who name is not Prosper. That is what Duke did. A very simple game plan on the defensive end. As someone said, ND only has two legit ACC players. LG defense is terrible. When she gets rip, she does not hustle back to play defense. She just jocks back. Also, when the other team is shooting, contest the shot. LG just looks at the person she is guarding and does not close out to contest the shoot. LG has hit some 3's which is what we needed. If you are going to play HH with one player, then put IN on her.
RK has gone from an all-ACC potential to non-consequential. The over-all guard play is meh.
That seems to be a common theme against quality teams. Underperformance, poor game planning, whatever. We look totally frazzled.
This team will not be in the NCAA and that my friend is embarrassing. The lack of “grit” on the men’s & women’s teams is concerning!
The rebounding might be worse than even then offensive sets. Four heels in the paint ball hit the ground two shots in a row for a ND player to grab and finish.
It’s time to clean house. I’m just not sure how we can afford it with football and men’s basketball in tenuous situations
WE tried telling Y'ALL a long time ago about CB lack of Coaching, but y'all didn't want to hear it. Starting doing charts, and circle graphs, to try and defend her. Seven years later what we were saying still is true. CB is not the answer for UNCWBB. It is what it is! Change is needed in Chapel Hill!

Had a feeling this is how this game would go. This team is just not THAT good. But I'll be there to support them every chance I can. Really looking forward to getting Kate Harpring in next year.
Agreed! I only got to watch the 3rd quarter and I do not remember ND ever going one-and-done.
If Courtney didn’t have Harping coming she would be canned
ND may have 30 offense rebounds before the game actually ends. Poor effort by staff and players. We should fall out of the top 30 after today.
I think CB sitting on the bench might bother me even more! I would have gotten a tech just fire up my team or make sure the refs no the one-sided calls are bs!
I've seen some bad basketball but this is on a level of awful that hard to believe. Can't handle pressure at all. No one has pull up J off the dribble. Our girls have to be wide open before even attempting a 3. We don't have a dog on this team that can flat out get buckets. If Nivar was a better shooter she could be that person.

I was going to ask - as a casual observer, we never seem to be able to consistently compete with upper echelon teams regardless of our talent level. I could be way off on that observation but like I said, I’m very casual on the women’s side. Is it coaching?
I've said for a long time Banghart is just the female version of James Franklin. She wins almost all of the games she should, but never wins against the actual good teams.
Hidalgo is a truly gifted player at both ends.
I disagree with that. She has occasionally beaten some good teams. The problem is that she will have at least 2 or 3 losses against teams she shouldn't have lost to.
Games like today and a few others show you what Utsby did for this team the last years. The staff does not drive effort and there seems to be little pride outside of Lanie on this team now. She plays hard but impact is less as the other guards have the ball in their hands more often by design.
