Re: Duke 3-3 Last Six Games; Final Four Vibe My Arse

They could still make the Final 4, make no mistake. But they are still beatable even when shooting well.

So the guy everyone thinks is the greatest player in historical record goes to the bench in a one point game? Ok.

Great ball game, ND deserved to win. They will wind up a #2 or #3 seed in the NCAA tourney if they continue to play at this level.

Now duke loses tonight but you watch, they'll go in and beat Virgina on their home floor this weekend. Could you imagine them losing back to back games twice in the acc with 9 McDonalds All Americans on the roster? That would make some for some pretty sorry coaching.

Will K get on ND radio broadcast?

and congratulate them them on a valiant effort and win? Maybe visit the ND locker room?

Agreed, I think this game increases their chances of beating Virginia. Hope not though.

Duke scares me less and less each time I watch them.

They're really going to test the "defense wins championships" adage. Some team is going to light them up in March.

Notre Dame shot 52% from the floor which was higher than dukes free throw %. The Irish deserve a lot of credit, they hit several big time shots tonight. What about that 3 in the fist half from almost mid court? Kid had no reason to shoot it that far out, he just felt like doing it.

not sure how it was a stunning win? I mean, ND at home, with a better record?

The team that's really getting the benefit of the doubt is UL. They haven't beaten ANYBODY and were never really a threat to UK or Duke.

Woah now, don't get crazy. They almost beat a top 10 team on the road. They don't deserve to fall for that.

Even if that coach won 1,000 games it wouldn't make up for such a poor showing with all that talent

At what point does everyone acknowledge the trend of Rivers, Irving, Jabari, Okafor as incredible, top-5 offensive talents as freshmen that Coach K can't teach to play even average defensively? Is it what he's targeting? What he's emphasizing? What he's not holding them accountable for?

Okafor is absolutely unbelievable offensively, but it's almost harder to comprehend how bad he is on defense. If he were even adequate, he's the best player in the country, but he's a liability late in games and Duke is lost without him.

As a team, as awful as that Duke zone is, and as clearly uncomfortable as they are in it, for Coach K to stick with it tells you all you need to know about how incredibly terrible they are in man to man.

Could it be that K doesn't want him to play too much defense for fear of picking up fouls,he has to be on the court for Duke to have a chance against a decent team.
