Really thought Brian Kelly would do a better job at ND, had one miracle run at the BCS title, due to pulling three or four games out of their butt, but other than that one season, has been meh up in South Bend. It won't help their recruiting in the Midwest that Michigan and Ohio State are rolling big time again.

Yeah I bet ND will not put up with it long unlike Mitch. Mitch would be giving him an extension first thing monday morning if he was ND AD lol!

They really need Bob Diaco to get fired at UCONN so he can be their DC again.

But you can't have a good football team at a basketball school. Or at least that's what I'm told

Notre Dame could've gotten Urban Meyer a few years back, but they refused to make exceptions on their academic standards for football players or allowed for Juco players. As a result, Meyer refused to come. I think Notre Dame is going to have to do something with that if they want to be competitive again, but I think all this "doom and gloom" I hear about Notre Dame's future is silly. They still have a prominent national following.

I think it was the Texas game in which Kelly was in the face of the DC and didn't look happy when a UT player was left wide open in a key down. Watching last night, the tension between the two of them was easy to see. Kelly was clearly unhappy. I told someone this morning that I thought the DC's time at ND was coming to an end but didn't see this coming this soon.....
