I didn't add it up but I'm betting these highlights are closer to 1 dribble before passing than 2. A few with 3 dribbles; a lot more with zero dribbles.

Can you teach this?

Do you need a Zeller to do this? Will we have a Zeller?

I don't think you need a Zeller for this, but it sure doesn't hurt.

I think having a passer like Marshall who can get his guys the ball on the run out encourages those players to sprint down on offense because of the easy opportunities they know they can get.
Who is going to sprint down on offense when the PG is still looking down at his shoelaces after he gets the ball?

Now, you still need Marshall for a lot of those passes, and he's one of the best to ever do it at the college level (4th most assists in a single season in NCAA history; highest single season APG in ACC history)

That video illustrates two things: 1) KM is one of the best hit-ahead passers ever; and 2) Even for a PG of KM’s caliber, it’s critically important to have guys that can catch and finish on the other end. Imagine last season’s bigs on the receiving end of those passes… either the ball would go off their hands out of bounds or there would be a weak finish.
