Finally. Shep should have been voted to make it an OU trio. Wouldn't trade him for any other WR in the country and there are a few great ones. Congrats to Baker and Eric. Well deserved. Boomer!

It's still amazing to me that Perine just receives Honorable Mention.

Look at Perine's stats the last 6 games after Riley admittedly screwed up in his use of the beast and got him back on track...
6 Games - 871 yards, 7.38 ypc, 12 tds or 2 td/gm

And this is after being the best RB in the nation last year. Incredible.
Perine is what's difference in the Sooners after the Texas debacle. Perine is the reason we're unstoppable right now.

That's right, and it begs the question...why isn't Optimus a candidate for any post season awards...?

Bias aside, the guy is a bad *** RB.

Right? What if Riley had used him correctly and had the correct blocking schemes laid out all year? The first 6 games were our easiest, so could his numbers have been double at least? 1700 yds, 24 TDs?

That would have been back to back 1700+ yd AND 20+ TD seasons. I don't have time to do the research, but the list of guys that have accomplished that is extremely short.

I think Riley owes Perine a really nice steak dinner... like a 30+ oz bone-in Porterhouse topped with cracked black pepper and salted whipped butter.
