There were key players yes. But everybody loses them. Many on your list were 5th year seniors. Majority were recruited by another coach. Some of those listed transfered the year before. Didn't Martin get the DC fired? You know, that VIC guy. People were praying Doege would leave. He couldn't even make it at WKU.
How many went to others schools and became productive? Two or three?
This is college football now so get use to it. Productive players are leaving the SEC teams as well. It's not just WVU.
This is about how many players left WVU, not about where they went or your opinion of them. The answer is 20 transfers and 3 quit altogether, so 23 total gone, and it was one of the highest in the nation last season. You asked "where you people get your numbers" so have your answer. Everyone knows we are going to lose players every year now. It will probably turn into a total shitshow for all of college football, but the fact remains, WVU lost 20 to the portal last season and 3 quit altogether. A few have spoken out about how the WVU football program has issues under Brown. I believe them.
That would be wrong as Arkansas and LSU had the highest and WVU was highest in Big 12. You can call it **** show all you want but I cheer for WVU. And they will still get my support.
I am not one to questions peoples fandom. My opinion is if you are taking the time to frequent a WVU message board on the internet, you're a real fan. I cheer for WVU every game no matter what. I just backed off going to games or investing money until Brown is gone. WVU is my only team.
Awhile back a former player wrote an article in which he stated matter of factly several players under Brown were not happy with his coaching style and this was a major reason for departures. As you guessed the board trolls summarily dismissed the comments, attacked both those who posted the information as well as the source of the information including current and former players. Then they had the post removed from the board so no one could read it.

You can root for WVU and recognize that we are stuck with a **** show right now. Those two things actively coexist for me right now. Unfortunately it's as plain as the nose on your face.
Think of it as a never ending turnstile except we are regularly losing starters and are largely replacing them with inferior replacement parts.
