I take Mooresville, Statesville vs South will be a tossup. Since it’s Statesville homecoming I will give them the edge. If they have lot penalties they could lose it. Lake Norman shouldn’t have no problems with N. Iredell. Newton Conover over West Iredell, LNC over Langtree

I think Mooresville vs Davie JV game could easily be JV game of the week in conference
Mocksville is a very tough place to go get a win this time of year... It will be a great atmosphere... Mooresville is primed for this moment though...
Yes the stadium will most likely have no empty seats. There were realistically around 50 open seats against statesville, so just imagine how it will be for a top 10 team in NC, it’ll be rocking.
Mooresville, Statesville, and Davie Co. rivalries go back many years. Made that trip up 801 quite a few times myself. I remember if W Rowan had a home game the same night as Davie, they would stop traffic on 801 after their game to empty out the parking lot. You would be stuck. Not good, especially after a loss.
Still miss them in the CPC. I think I read first time in 40 years they are not in CPC.
I miss Davie in the CPC and deep down if they can get back to 7A/8A....Knowing their community and fans...They want to play at the highest level of football and they will try everything to get back to the CPC.... Sorry, but NW Guilford can go join a Greensboro Conference. I think it's going happen... hopefully, sooner than people think as in the next 3-7 years.
There is a reason they NEVER BUILT another High School in that area.... They(Davie Alums and county officials) refused to go to 2-A football when another High School was approved in the county.
Now, on the other hand....North Davidson and Davidson county decided to build another high school(Oak Ridge) and North Davidson alums hated that move and looking back at it....they lost media exposure and a lot fan interest, probably lost forever. They loved the CPC... They were good every year.

I always like the CPC. I agree that conference is not the same without Davie. Maybe be one of these days they will get to move back. I always thought AL Brown was a better fit for the NPC instead of Davie. But Also understand that SPC is something ALB was always use to being in. Would have been neat to seen AL Brown with what teams are in now. ALB playing Statesville and Davie would have been interesting.

If my old brain remembers correctly West Forsyth was in conference with ALB maybe early 80’s. Some of the older ALB posters may can confirm this.
You are right...Davie is 7-A...Now, it makes "zero" sense that they aren't in the CPC...The CPC should have 7 teams like it use too.
I agree I would love to see Brown in the NPC. But keep in mind. Weathers Creek High will be opening within 2 years. Iredell county growth is huge. Very surprised Mooresville school system doesn't have 2 high schools yet
Speaking of Weathers Creek high, I had read where they have started on it about building. I agree with Kylar24, I’m surprised about Mooresville school system not having another HS. Give it time and it may happen yet with the growth that’s going on.
They maybe like Davie, when they wanted to build a second HS. Everyyone protesTed, and they kept one HS.
