Its called being a cynic. It really has nothing to do with Rhule and more to do with a fan base that gets excited over a walk on qb that isn't going to do anything more than what we already have at this point in the QB room.

The sarcasm/irony hits a chord when we are all wishing for 6 wins....when just a decade ago 9-10 wasn't enough. Hell 20 years ago 11 wasn't enough. I'm sure that Rhule isn't ok with 6 wins.....but I know this fan base is simply hoping for a bowl game. LOL....just let that soak in for a moment.
We are where we are right now. Gotta walk before we run and I highly doubt that 6 wins will be good enough in year 3.

Yes...and I sure hope not. I do think the days of 9 win seasons are long gone. We better find a way to gain satisfaction with 6-10 wins being the usual in this league. Tough sledding ahead.

I've seen him play as I have kids at Blair but I'm a poster on a message board so I don't know squat about analyzing the potential quarterbacking ability of a high school kid so I won't pretend to.
Welp, that makes you as qualified to opine on QBs as anyone else on this board.

LOL pie in the sky thinking. or maybe your being facetious. Either way...it really won't matter.
Just a smart *** reply to your sarcastic 6 win comment. We’re on the same side of this thing but I recognize the need for and value of a couple of walk on QBs in the program.

Fun to watch?

Do they win?

Is he a good athlete? Does he play other sports? Maybe they are recruiting him for a different position.

I think regular 8-9 win seasons are doable depending on the non-conference scheduling. Any idea that we’re going to return to the kind of dominance we had in the trenches during Dr Boyd Epley’s reign is unrealistic.

How is recruiting a walk-on qb that looks to have interest from Iowa and SDSU lowering the bar?
It was the 6 win remark as the bar for our team and not just our QB. Lots of frustration in the fan base over the way things have gone over the past 6 years.

Agreed on the 6 wins as a bar. Right now get the first step towards advancement, a bowl game for the extra practices and workouts. The defense seems to be able to get more guys live fire action than the offense. The bowl game practices will help development amongst the younger guys on the depth chart.

Then work upwards from bowl game eligible towards 8-9-10 wins and more success from there. Raising the floor in a program is difficult

SDSU is currently undefeated and top ranked.
Yup, they are pretty damn solid. This year, I don’t think NDSU is quite the team they have been. Although I like NDSU, I love that USD beat them in the Fargodome. I’m looking forward to Oct. 28 when SDSU comes to the Dakotadome.

Go Yotes!!! 🐺
