Strange group of 4

Not really, when you think about it. This is a kid new to the US with very few preconceived notions about “who’s who” in college basketball and is just looking for a program where he feels most comfortable.

I get that; Georgetown and NU are very different environments than Nebraska and TCU. Good for him for being open minded.

Nebraska is very different. I would argue that TCU is not so different. Very good combination of athletics/academics in or near a large metropolitan area.

Great news.

I have him penciled in as one of NU’s commitments in this class and would be quite disappointed if we lost out. His other options are solid but not at all scary programs. I like our chances.

Gotta think fans of the other three teams are saying exactly the same thing....

If they are watching his recruitment via verbal commits they have no worries because NU was cut as replaced with DePaul. Here's my thing with verbal commits, I used to trust them but when you have the kids twitter feed saying one thing six inches from the update how do you make this mistake. I have really just concluded that NU is a low volume page for them because whoever is updating it this year is missing offers and providing wrong information. Ugh.

Ditto. It serves as a nice foundational source, but they dont come anywhere near the full story.

Outside the top 50, I'm not sure many sites have strong recruiting info. You need to dig it up from several sources.

Also, these kids as well as the coaches are more media saavy on the one hand, but ridiculously tight-lipped on the other.

The fact that he has a legal guardian making the decisions is an advantage for Northwestern. It’s going to come down to Cats and Hoyas.
