actually communism - from each according to their ability, to each according to their need or something like that

The hyperbole around "last guy to go to the NCAA" continues to grow and may outpace the bowl streak buzz

You could argue that losing helps more B1G teams get into the dance thus improving our chances and point totals. If there was total parity in the B1G fewer teams would qualify for #1 seeds.
Wisconsin for example would not have as easy a first round game had NU beaten them twice.

I know it is idiotic sick but I think it does play out.

There actually is a certain amount of truth to this. I chuckle when schools such as Ohio State etc. talking about forming some sort of "super conference." Imagine a few teams such as OSU, USC, some of the top SEC schools etc. formed some sort of conference. Somebody is going to end up going 3-6, 2-7. How would that sit with the alums at the football factories? Not too well, I'd wager. If every school is a powerhouse, these teams aren't going 12-1 or 13-0.

Last time I looked at football revenues a couple of years back, OSU made something like $90 million while we made $22 million. I don't think I'll throw a pity party about the BB revenue any time soon.
