24-10 Huskers, regardless of who plays quarterback. If it's Ryker he will play better than expected, if it's Tommy we won't use him as usual, both scenarios having to do with our Defense playing well.
We have a 150 yard rusher and hold them to 100 total rushing yards, with only one rush over 10 yards on the day. We control the clock.
The game is never really as close as the score, and it is a snooze fest by the 4th quarter, so my wife will fall asleep, striking me out before I even get to the batters box.
Better try my chances in the afternoon.

27-20 Nebraska.

Minnesota has allowed half of their opponents to score 24 or more.

In this current 4 game winning streak they are allowing 20 Ppg against offensive juggernauts Maryland, Rutgers, Illinois and Purdue.

They have only played 3 road games so far. Penn St - loss, Maryland and Illinois- wins.

Plus their coach will do something "clever", or as I say, stupid to cost them a possession or the game.

this will come to down to your ability to stop the run.. cuz Minn will run, run, and run some more.. with occasional play action mixed in. As I recall you guys have some difficulty holding the edge on D.. MN ball carriers are both fast as hell and will make you pay if you lose contain. I would see a 31-28 game either way.. I would lean towards Minny right now as they have a bit more momentum.-sg

Ya, I know it's a home night game for us, but I can't shake the feeling that we lose this one. 62 - 3 and TA going through concussion protocol, that's a lot to deal with for any team. I see a close game, Minnesota doesn't buckle in the 4th quarter.

Minny 28, NU 24

Crap I forgot about the tendency to overreact to a game.

Minnesota is awesome. Nebraska just doesn't have the athletes to compete. They have a big OLine and their defense is awesome.

Minnesota 45
Nebraska 6 but only if Armstrong plays. Otherwise Minnesota 49 Nebraska negative 11.

Our psyche is damaged, and besides our injuries, I am beginning to have doubts about our schemes and play-calling. Oh well, there is always next yr, right? Minny 31 Huskers 24

I think the biggest factor in this game is which Langsdorf shows up. Play calling with Tommy will be key. Im sure they wint want him taking any hits so a heavy passing game may be likely if Minny stops the run early. I hope Morgan can catch thiw week. he struggled last week a bit. i think the team memtality will be better even with their asses being handed to them last week.

Plus this is my one game I get to go to this year. so hopefully it makes they make the exit from the stadium a joyous one. Big win for the BIG RED.

I can't believe this many people are picking Minnesota. Their offense is bad, we want retribution after last week. I don't think this one is ever really in question although no blowout.

I concur. If Danny Langsdorf shows up, NU 34-21, if its just his wife or one of his kids, MN 21-6.

If Ryker starts AND plays throughout the game, I would rather go stare at a wall. At least a wall won't make me angry that it is our supposed #2 QB and make me angry and scared about the current state of Nebraska football.

RF starts and plays?
NU: 9
UM: 34

TA starts and plays?
NU: 28
UM: 17

This is the week to see if the Huskers have grit or not, even with our injuries Huskers need to deal with adversity and show that they can play with heart and grit!

Minnesota has a pretty salty secondary. If Nebraska goes pass happy the Gophs will eventually make them pay. Nebraska needs something close to a 65/35 run-pass mix. Wear down the Gopher D with power run formations and use the quick outs to keep drives going.

The winner of this game will win the battle of the trenches. If N can force Minny into 3rd and longs (4/5+), Nebraska will absolutely prevail. If the Gophers are eating clock and moving the chains on the ground with their two-headed run monster, Gophers will probably pull off a road win in Lincoln.

1) Stop MN run game---make Leidner pass
2) NU has much better WRs/TEs---now would be a perfect time to show that we have some WR bubble screens in the playbook
I have no idea what the score will be, but losing to this Gophers team at home would be a sign that progress is not happening.....
