Jordan Willimovsky, a junior on the Wildcat Swim Team took 1st Place at the World Open Water 10 K Championships in Kazan, Russia . Willimovsky, B1G Champ in the 1650, went on to win the bronze for Northwestern at this year's NCAA's will represent the U.S, National team at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio.

The 20 year old Californian won the Worlds by a 12.1 second lead for a finish time of 1:44.42. He is the first American to win the World Opens Water Championships since 2005. Cats in the Water.
