NU v. Ball State First-Half Thread

[lou v]

The students are out en force tonight, but we'll see how big the crowd is. With 12 minutes to kickoff, there's still a lot of metal showing, and for the first time I remember there was absolutely no line to get onto the press box elevator tonight.

Turnover #1

[Smokejumper]

did somebody say odenigbo needs some work defending the run?

[bjm989_rivals]

Not a pretty start.

[bringbacktherantboard]

Turnovers: That's what I was worried about.

Our defense is great, but we can't give this potent Ball State offense a short field like this.

[GlideCat]

Not a pretty start.

Good defensive play #1.

[GlideCat]

Good defensive play #1.

Held them to 3 on a short field.

[SchizoCat1]

No pass rush. Gotta rattle this kid at some point.

[Seattle_Cat]

Not looking so powerful tonite

[Ubermorgen]

Godwin done for the night. Now we'll see what's up with G Dickerson.

[TejasCat]

This feels like last year, injuries and dropped TDs

Not looking so powerful tonite

Did anyone else say "Here comes the qb draw?"

[chicagocatfan24]

and mogus

[phatcat_rivals223240]

3 injuries wtf

[Wrestlerneverdiesasacatfan]

Missed that sure Td pass! Got to catch those. Kid is fast

[Hungry Jack]

Shulers hands are "unreliable."

[phatcat_rivals223240]

3 injuries wtf

wow now the cart. WTF

[Wrestlerneverdiesasacatfan]

Mogus got head butted

[MCC_Cat]

Mogus concussed; what happened to Godwin?

[Katatonic]

Ughh... 'Cats dropping like flies.

[GlideCat]

Banged up O-Line = no 4th and 1 conversion

[TejasCat]

we may need a defensive td to pull this out

[Hungry Jack]

Another scintillating B1G MAC sandwich.

[phatcat_rivals223240]

still vulnerable to the tall WR

[TejasCat]

I am having bad flashbacks, how do we let them catch that?

[GlideCat]

Ball St #8 is going to cause problems.

[nuwildfan2]

Henry needs to knock him out bounce can't let him get that foot down.

[Smokejumper]

uuugh

[Deeringfish]

How can they recruit a freshman QB that can do so well against a defense that is good and ours really can't do anything

[Katatonic]

Can't credit the Ball St QB since, you know, the WR made a play.

[bringbacktherantboard]

Ball State could win.

Respect your opponent.

[SchizoCat1]

Defense holding its own vs. an anemic offense

[Smokejumper]

too bad that doesn't help our red zone stats. lol

[Deeringfish]

Ball State could win.

Respect your opponent.

There is still a lot of time left but this feels sick

[TejasCat]

our OL needs to start dominating a very poor defensive team.

[TejasCat]

horrible hang time on that punt and we still had 6 guys waiting for the returner

[SchizoCat1]

Thorson looks like a very slow truck when he's running.

[GlideCat]

How long was that punt?

[Fanaticat98]

This is unbelievable. 3 starters out and we're getting lit up by frosh QB and RB. How do they respond? The season could turn on this.
