Disagree big time. Am I disappointed by this season? Very much so, but we tasted a little bit of success and now we think we deserve to be a basketball power. It is going to take some work. Our recruiting has been good, and we could be a big man from really competing. I'd say he has at least two years to see what these youngsters can do.

I agree on the two years part assuming next year is not a complete disaster....I don't think anybody here is expecting to be a basketball power. But I think it's fair to expect more out of the program than what Miles has produced last year and this year. To be fair...the past two years have been horrible...in fact, we have been pretty terrible ever since No Sit Sunday. We don't need to be a basketball power...it would be nice...but simply just finding a way to become a middle of the pack Big Ten team will in most years have us sitting well for an at large.

Exactly. Nobody thinks we need to win the B1G "or else heads should roll". But geez we stink. We looked awful last year and this year. If Miles is the coach his supporters say he is, we should be seeing a better product in year four. It is the lack of progress that is disappointing. It is the fact that NU basketball is still a dumpster fire and a laughing stock. We are not competitive in any way, and, quite frankly, we often look poorly coached.

I agree, but before Tim took us to the NCAA tourney, you never saw a lot of discussion on basketball. It has always been in the background because we have zero history and it sucks. To Miles credit, he has the state enthused about basketball, but you read a ton of the posts on here, and yes people are thinking we should be in the question to win the Big 10 after 1 tourney run in which we finished middle of the pack. It is going to be a long road, but there has been progress. I agree that the last two years are disappointing. No doubt about that, but they fall in line with our average team. I like the the recruits, I like the youth, and I hope next year we can make a run. As we agree on, we shouldn't even think about canning Miles for at least 2 more years.

The facilities are outstanding and definitely a point of pride for all fans. But if you took away the facilities, I don't think many of us would be any more excited about Husker hoops than we were before Miles arrived. Unless he shocks the world and gets a competent big man who can play immediately, I can't see much improvement for at least a couple years. We have some nice young players but we aren't playing in the 6'6" and under league.
