The Wildcats have led for all but 18 seconds, and start the second half up 45-36. Northwestern is shooting 57 percent from the field to Virginia Tech's 36 percent, but the Hokies have ten offensive rebounds that have helped keep things close.

Scottie Lindsey picks up his third foul three minutes into the half. Lead cut to 45-41 after a Hokie three

Scoring always seems to be an issue coming out of the half. 14 minutes and VT almost in the bonus.

Surprised Tap was in there on defense at the end of regulation, and I would have put Joey back in for pick and roll with Demps on last play.

NU's missed opportunities in the final minute and a half of regulation: (Demps missed floater, missed BMac layup, missed Olah FT, missed McIntosh FT, missed uncontested three from Taphorn)

Lumpkin was excellent tonight. Check his Stat line, in cling a big 3 in OT as the game was slipping away from us. Plus his D at the end.

That layup by BMac was unbelievable. But Sanjay's three is what saved us tonight. Down by four points, no momentum...of all people, Lumpkin rattles in a three to keep us in it.

Lumpkin is THE MAN tonight! Great scoring and great defense in the last possession! The "glue guy" gummed up the Hokies!

+1. If Sanjay's 3 does not go in there, I believe we lose by 10 (or more) in OT....
