Ended with a winning season. The team was competitive. Team loses a lot of Srs and will need some Grad Transfers but was fun to watch on BigTen+. Nice year 2 for new coach.
The coach has them moving in the right direction. He inherited a train wreck.
I think the team ended pretty close to making the NCAA tournament if they won more of their five-set matches. I remember at least two where they had match point and ended up losing. So definitely on the right trajectory but they do have a lot of seniors and grad students to replace.
Exactly. I think they had a sequence of three straight five set losses against good conference teams. Flip two or three of those and they are probably in the NCAA tourney. Coach has done a great job so far.
Is may just be me but on balance I think volleyball has taller, better athletes than WBB. Not just at NU but across the entire sport. Cuter also, but that's just an old man talking. Seriously, women volleyball players appear to be more athletically fit, quicker and better leapers. WBB can get away with big, wide body types in many positions who are slower and less fit.
