What I don't know about field hockey would fill many books, but Boon does look like an exceptional find. She's listed as a redshirt first-year player; anyone know whether she sat out last season due to injury? Is she a transfer? She attended a high school not three miles from where I live. I've driven by their field many times but never attended a match. My loss, to be sure. Boon is listed as 6'1" and looks every bit of that, towering over teammates and opponents. Impressive.

NU dominated the time of possession and the game! Iowa was in their zone so seldom they fail\led to be awarded even one penalty corner. 0-0 at halftime but NU scoring a goal in the first minute of the second half set the tone from there on out. Coach Fuchs in her half time interview commented on how dry the field was. I don't know if that was the reason but the field sprinklers were turned on at halftime. Could that have made a difference in terms of the Wildcats second half performance? Congratulations to the team and coaches! Go Cats!
