Halftime: SC 16, FHS 14.
Patriots led 14-0 with three minutes left in the half, Spartans got a 4th down TD and then completed a Hail Mary down to the two and scored two plays later to take the lead. Got both two-point conversions.

Three quarters completed and it’s SC 22, Freedom 21. Patriots trailed 22-14 but scored and then didn’t go for two to tie it.

We're at 34 RPI. Going to need some wins and maybe some help just to get in.
It does, if Freedom wins they would own the upper hand in 3A with the Hibriten game looming at the end of the season!!!
If Ashe wins they wrap up the 3a seed.
Sure, it probably means the difference between a home playoff game and a road playoff game. Depending on where we might go, I would definitely be interested in seeing the projection.

Yeah, I know it was all in fun. I figure if we win and beat Hibriten then we’ll be the 9 seed, maybe 8.
If we’re the 8 seed that’s potentially two home playoff games. But if we lose and then still make the playoffs, we’ll be on the road and I will roll with that. A big part of the fun of the playoffs for me is going places I’ve never been before, so that’s always a possibility.

I think we want to establish the run, but we like to give our QB a lot of run/pass options. We’ve got some talented and athletic receivers and can really hit the quick strike, but I would say we keep it on the ground about 70 percent of the time.
Just happy to see all the teams back on the field after the last month of uncertainty around here. Ashe having such few players makes it tough on them late in games, but they really gutted that one out Friday night. I know Freedom is a well coached team, this week will be another good one I'd say.
Join a 1a-2a conference like 3a Lake Norman Charter did….and you’ll get in….they’re comfortably in at RPI #18 for 3a currently.

There could be others doing the same thing across the state…but since this is so close to home….it wreaks!
RPI should include class on wins and losses…I don’t know how…but it must be done to keep it fair.
I’d love to hear an opposing argument on this….I’m all ears….or better yet….tell me it’s all a mistake and Lake Norman Charter should not be included with 3a teams and RPI numbers.
Otherwise….they won’t play a 3a team until the playoffs

Not sure they will make the playoffs. Seems like I remember they are in the 3A South Piedmont and they play 3A in every sport except football which they are not going to play in the football playoffs. I don't see them in any playoff predictions???
If you look at the volleyball playoffs they beat 3A South Point last night.
In football The Knights’ football team plays as an independent despite the rest of its athletic teams competing in the South Piedmont 3A.
The Knights could move into a conference for the 2025 season under the next NCHSAA realignment.
This season also marks the final year without conference affiliation for the Knights, who last played in a league in the fall of 2019.
