Beautiful! I love fall back. Loved it as a kid b/c it was associated with all things fall/Christmas, etc. It signaled the start of that time of year.

I think the times are backwards. I'd rather have an extra hour of daylight in the morning in the Summer as opposed to another hour of scorching weather at the end of the day and I'd like the extra hour of daylight at the end of the day in Winter so I can get home in the light and maybe have time to do something before it gets dark.

My cousin lived in Chicago for a while. She said it was dark, dark like stars in the sky, at 4:30 in the Winter. No thank you.

I prefer EST, if it was just left alone, the transition in winter would be hardly drastic. Just 3 months ago it was daylight till 8:45 p.m., as the days progress it is now 6:35, but it is a slow change.
The shorter days allow me to enjoy my evenings more which I really enjoy. As another poster indicated having scorching heat past 8:30 has no appeal for me whatsoever.

Being dark out before quittin time is a demotivator for me.
Yes, it kind of sucks going months without seeing your house in the daytime except on weekends.

We get some pretty dramatic daylight shifts here in Montana. We're working our way toward 4:40 and 4:45 sunsets in December. Then, during camping season in June, we don't even get good campfire darkness until almost 10:00.

Any time the temperature drops below 60 I'm depressed, adding darkness is just another low blow.

Having kids stand out in the cold and darkness waiting for the bus in the winter is not cool. I can deal with getting home in darkness. I am fine with doing what I need on the weekends in the winter.

100%. My wife’s family is in Vancouver. When we visit in the winter it’s dark by 4:00. Early spring HS baseball practices are under the lights. It takes some getting used to.

I know how she feels. I went England years ago around NYD to visit some friends. The sun came up at 10 am and set at 3 pm. We went to York in the north and it was even worse. I can't imagine what it is like in Sweden and Norway.
