We now have a record 94,610,000 Americans not in the labor force. The job participation rate is the lowest since the Carter years in 1977. We just set a new record of 56,647,000 women not working. Median incomes just dropped again. The jobs being created are either part time or pay less than the jobs being lost. Our U6 unemployment is still over 10%.
Just as bad, the August job numbers were also revised far lower from 173K to 136K. And while it is less followed, the household survey was an unmitigated disaster, with 236,000 jobs lost in September.
