Obviously, I am not an Obama fan and my views are biased. However. I was stunned when watching O'Reilly tonight and he showed the state and federal office losses that occurred to the Dems under Obama. Dem losses have been huge.

Obama is likely the greatest campaigner that I have ever seen. His oratorical skills are perhaps the greatest of any President with the possible exception of Reagan. While Americans like him personally, electing him twice, it did not translate into a love for his policies or Dems in general. In other words, he had no coattails. In this election, he campaigned hard but because he is so good, I think it diminished Hillary when natural comparisons are made.

In terms of accomplishments, Obama record is mixed at best, Imo. Obamacare will soon be repealed and replaced. It simply has not worked and it is likely his greatest domestic achievement. I don't consider the passing of the stimulus to be of great significance since most economists do not believe it had much impact. Fed policy of QE and zero interest rates were much more effective.

His greatest global achievement in likely the Iran deal and I think Trump will dramatically change that deal or eliminate it all together. The Paris Climate Accord will be jettisoned.

He relied so much on Executive Order that have no lasting impact if the other party takes power, makes any accomplishments in this area temporary.

He is a historical figure and historians tend to be very liberal so it will be interesting to see how he is rated. He had so much potential. If he were more centrist and had built some bipartisan coalitions, I think he could have been a great President.

I'm emailing O'Reilly to suggest a new book, "Killing the Democratic Party!"[cheers]
