OL - Good recruiter but consistently fields a worse unit each year.

OC - How many jobs has this guy gotten because of his last name.

DC - Back to normal after having a senior laden defense with national award winners.

I think best case scenario for this season is 5 - 7 but most likely 3 - 9. Hopefully Beamer can prove me wrong.

I am willing to give the defensive coordinator the benefit of the doubt. We have scored less than 17 offensive points in almost every game. The defense is on the field constantly because our offense sucks. We can't expect the defense to completely carry us through every single game.
You have a point but I am looking at his entire body of work at USC. Overall, I would rate him at a B- or C+. We need much better than that if we plan to ever be anything in football. Or if someone wins the lottery and donates enough NIL money for White to purchase exceptional players.

If White has good players, he is a serviceable coach. If Shula or Teasley have good players.....they still suck.

I think White is probably the best coach we have right now. The offense put the defense in some bad spots last night.

Everyone was talking about “17”, well they didn’t even score 17 or make streak at 17!!

Tend to agree with last part. They weren't motivated when the offense clearly wasn't doing its part in the second half. Stewart punched Pavia-clearly frustrated with the game. Losing Sellers took the wind out of the team's sails too. Could we have lost with him playing too? No doubt.

OL - a good recruiter who can't coach his recruits to be an effective unit is effectively worthless.

I am still sticking by my OP.

Glad to eat crow but I don't see that happening.

Indeed, ole Clayton got his payday and back to terrible. People seem to forget how crappy his defense was bf last year. Yes, oc, dc, and oline need new coaches immediately. I hate Clemson but they wouldn’t stand for the trash we are seeing. They would make the changes necessary. We just bear it.

I agree someone should be held accountable for this mess. The lack of personnel changes says to me that there's no one already on staff who the AD and HC believe could do any better and they have no one in mind to bring in.

That sounds like a vote of no confidence in our AD and HC.

If I were the AD, Beamer would get a sit down at the end of the season where he would be told for training wheels are off. He’s now a veteran head coach and needs to start acting like it. He would be told to gut his staff and put a staff together with the understanding that this is his one shot to get it right.

Missouri came in this game with the #4 offense in the nation, averaging nearly 52 points per game. Say what you want about Clayton White. But, I, for one, wish ALL of our football coaches on this staff were only as bad as Clayton White. But, that's me.

Clayton is mediocre at best. the best coach on D is Torrian Gray....in my opinion. Clayton just needs to recruit better so he can be a good coach, but he isn't coming up with any genius defenses. Clayton was almost fired two years ago (insider info) but Beamer changed his mind.

OC and especially OL coach should have been fired after the Vandy game.

Why would thr AD wait until after the season to have a little chat with his HC?

True, but he has been a better head coach than most we have had.
I'm still not sure he's better than Muschamp. If he turns this year around, I'll believe in him. If he goes 3-9, he's right there.

A little chat = clean house. Wow.
Your post about a little chat was in response to my post about the AD telling to Beamer to clean house, so I assumed that's what you were referring to.

But, yes, surely the AD could sit down with him in the meantime and start laying the groundwork.
