This is the worst kind of anti-Semitic rhetoric,” said Nitsana Darshan-Leitner, director of the Shurat HaDin—Israel Law Center, an Israeli-based civil rights organization. "It is not acceptable for the dean to hide behind academic freedom and claim this is freedom of speech.

This is a new one:

She also criticized the “anti-Semitism call-out culture.”

It's getting so you can't slam Jews with impunity anymore. [laughing]

BTW Oberlin is a joke and people like this hag are a waste of air.

There's no such thing as reverse racism. Racism has only one definition in the dictionary - either your actions are racist or they aren't. It has no polarity based on color. She is being a racist.

And yes her words are protected as free speech. Way too many woefully misinformed interest groups continually try to claim that really, really unpleasant comments towards their constituents are not protected by the first amendment. They are wrong and dumb and should take a 1a law course.

Whatever the nastiest insult you can possibly imagine to you or your people - it is protected by the first amendment. And thank God for that, because the alternative is a horrifying future dystopian movie. Or France.

But the first amendment certainly doesn't prevent private citizens or institutions from tearing her a new one in a public forum for being a nasty racist, and even worse, a Louisville fan.

It is staggeringly frightening how many people don't get this.

This phrase always pisses me off. It insinuates that the only racism that exists is white on whatever as opposed to racism being applied to everyone. It's just racism...no "reverse racism."

Wouldn't a reverse-racist actively support the race in question? That's a good thing, right?

You have to know the rules of who you can bash without backlash. Jews are a no-go. However, if you want to bash Christians or just white conservatives, the red carpet is rolled out for you.

On a serious note, it's amazing how so many professors always side with Pakistan over Israel. I've seriously never had a conservative professor. I've had professors that were more hardcore to the left but I've never had a conservative point of you allowed unless I was the one to bring it up.

No white PhD from UL would ever be considered by Oberlin, but they are so desperate to appear diverse that they hired this imbecile and will most likely promote her to full professor very soon

Reverse racism means "no racism at all" and racism isn't limited to just whites. Any race can be racist.

Whitey is hilarious.

(I'm a white guy racist against white guys. Don't believe me? Ask ole bubby from Memphis on Rafters)

It's more like "white guilt," which is rampant among millennials on college campus. Tons of pandering as well.

Basically, it's the episode of Saved by the Bell, where Jessie was filled with guilt because of her ancestors and just kept apologizing to Lisa.

Isn't "white guilt" about the biggest racial slap in the face to those who are not white? It's essentially someone saying "I'm so far above you that it makes me feel bad".

Yep.

Basically it's what a lot of liberal elites do. They love telling minorities how oppressed they are and how much they "need" the white liberal saviors because they can't achieve without them.

Correct. However, it should be noted that Judaism is not a race of people. Particularly not in modern terms. What is on display here is simply pure hatred, and not "reverse hatred" either.

There are many things that people "don't get" as applied to anti-Semitism.

White guilt by itself is a form of racism. Among all classes of whites is a perplexing phenomena, white guilt. Those who possess it, practice it, promote it, etc., appear to have some sense of high virtue and faultless moral code empowering them to command sacrifices and engineer difficulties for persons of their own race.

Otherwise, yes. It is a slap in the face to minorities. Harsh and hateful.

The really frightening thing is that's not the worst pic he could have pic-ked. To wit...

If we've got a structural engineer in this thread - what's the correct diameter to length ratio on towel bars for a pig like that? she's making that one look pitiful.
