Thanks. Right now the Sportage is my top choice if I buy.

Now your going to hate me, Its not a Sportage but a Kia Sorento. Still a crossover with 4x4. sorry. dont know the difference but we love it just the same.

Colorado is the same way. I lived here 15 years before I finally bought a Subaru, and was probably facing expulsion if we didn't get one soon!

Resale on Subarus is crazy high here - although that doesn't really matter to me because I tend to keep cars forever.

My wife and I are on our 3rd Subaru. We've never had a problem with our Subarus. We lived in Denver for a couple years and when we were shopping for our 2nd Subaru, the dealership said Colorado sells more Subarus per capita than any other state. I would believe them with as many of them that are on the roads in Colorado.

Does anyone own and have opinions on 2017 or 2018;

Kia Sportage
Nissan Rouge
Toyota RAV 4
Honda CR V
Hyundai Tuscan
Ford Escape
Chevy Equinox
Jeep Compass

Thank you very much and Happy New Year.

Have to go with Honda or Toyota imho... costs more but don’t skimp on reliability. That said I have an older (2007) Nissan Pathfinder 4x4 that is great

Get a Toyota Highlander and keep it for the next 200,000 miles.

My neighbor got a Nissan Rogue - spent $40k+

How is that even possible? Even topped out with every option, seems unlikely. My Wife had one, thought it was a gigantic POS. She bought a 2017 Mazda CX-5 and likes it. It’s better than the Rogue for sure, and drives like a sporty car, unlike the rest of those named.

Brother in law has the turbo Subaru Forrester and absolutely loves it, drives like Mario Andretti and it holds four golf bags in the back without putting the seats down.

I've always been a Ford Truck guy, been burned a few times now. Why I'm leasing my current one, any more problems I'm jumping ship to a SUV. I work with a lot of people who have the these Suv's and they just don't have problems with them, even after 100K+ miles. I like the forester the most, but want reliability more than anything going forward in a vehicle.

There is your main problem. ;)

My mistake she got the Murano, the Rogue is about $3-5K cheaper.
